        Overall

        One hour past our reservation, we are still waiting in the lobby. I will not be back ever despite if the food is good.

        This used to be my favorite place to go in Rockford for sushi and good food. But today it all changed, sushi had couple of bones in it that my five almost choked on it. Waitres gave us no service at all but at the end charged us 17% tip, which she definitely did not deserve. Our cook could not even make good volcano. Ordered stake and shrimp for dinner and shrimp was awesome but they only gave me half of the stake but still charged 30$ for my meal. So as of today I have no desire to go back there so is my family. Don't know what happened to this place but its not like it used to be.

        I took my family here to try something new, I thought it was AMAZING. The food was superb, The prices were very reasonable, the service was fabulous, our chef was very engaging, He was very entertaining and he made a point of including my 4 yr old son. Sushi was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant very highly. overall it was a wonderful experience. I will definitely return again.

        Not answering phones

        Shogun refuses to answer their phone 45 mins before they close. After repeated attempts to place an order at 10:15pm when they don't close till 11 and after trying for almost a half hour I've finally given up and will no longer order from them.
