DONT' EVER GO THERE! I just went there for help with my utility bill and because I haven't made 3 payments for the past 6 months due some stupid I Care Program, I got turned down! So if I had the money I wouldn't be there! I am so mad and will never go back there again. I have also been on a Homeless Prevention Program before in which they just dropped me after 4 months and left me hanging. Those caseworkers are mean and insensitive and I agree with the other review! They need to tear the place down or clean it up!!!!!
Was in program me my fiance and 9 month old baby and 4 yr old. I had issue with court that.was in another town and not on property. And had not gone to court yet so the whole innocent befor guilty doesnt apply with project now rock island il me and my family were thrown out homeless with just 1 week notice yea just 1 week!!! On top of that they know our budget and are struggle and had no remorse nothing just out on the streets now homeless with young children!!!. On top of that found a place that was perfect and everything went great but project now gave horrible refernce after saying we did do good in program and they would go as far as helping with are reference and then when the time came they had that landlord not rent to us just bad mouthed my family. The head of transitional housing and a certain oversized case worker need to find new career cause they cant handle good people that are doing there best in need. They smile in your face but trust they really do talk behind backs. I went to court and guess what its cleared off my record and was not an issue. I cant speak for other project now locations but project now rock island needs to seriously get a staff makeover and if not please please tear down the building so a real business can uplift are community. Wish there was a star rating with negative results cause the 1 star I gave project now was way to much for there rating. And yes still homeless bouncing around with infant and young child thanks to project now and there caring staff!! Community action project now what a F*kN JOKE!!!!!!
