Joe Hyams wrote, “A Dojo is an arena of confined conflict where we confront an opponent who is not an opponent, but rather a partner engaged in helping us understand ourselves more fully.” That is exactly what I believe we have found for my daughter at Murray’s Martial Arts Centers (“MMAC”). She has a partner in each and every one of her fellow students; partners who cheer her on and who have helped her learn and become stronger than ever, both mentally and physically. She has sensei who will never settle for mediocrity by simply telling and explaining, but who strive for superiority by demonstrating, engaging and, most of all, empowering. The sensei at MMAC create an amazingly cohesive and fun environment where all students learn valuable lessons of self-defense, self-discipline, self-respect and respect for others. They take the time to get to know each student individually and always provide the positive reinforcement and feedback all children need to succeed. With the help of all the spectacular sensei at MMAC, my daughter has learned to let go of fear and overcome adversity. Most of all, she has learned to never put limits on herself. She sets goals and believes she will accomplish them, just like those who came before her at MMAC. She now understands that a black belt isn’t just something you wear…it is something you become. To say “thank you” seems so trite, but I do not know any other way to express our appreciation for MMAC and all the impressive and inspiring sensei who work so hard to help their students succeed. It is clear the sensei all love what they do, and because of that they have made MMAC the BEST martial arts school around! We are so grateful to be a part of the MMAC family!
Up until i relocated i attended this school. Price is excellent and the teacher is outstanding. No foolishness and red tape. the first competition that i went to, i gained a whole new level of respect for Dwayne's teaching. His adult and children students were the best in the building thoough the other schools made respectful showings as well. Wish i didn't have to leave. If you are looking for a top of the line teacher for yourself and/or your children...lol...look no further.
MMAC has been a wonderful for my son. He has been a part of MMAC for over a year now. He attends classes on a weekly basis and has taken part in two tournaments that have been a rewarding experience. My son gains confidence and discipline while having so much fun. The Senseis are amazing with the kids. They encourage positive attitudes, respect, and skills that will remain with my son for many years to come.
