General Info

The Department of Public Works is governed by the Town of Irondequoit in New York. It specializes in the maintenance of public infrastructure. The department manages a network of arterial and residential streets, sidewalks, and storm and sanitary sewer systems. It is also responsible for the planning and execution of capital improvements to preserve and enhance properties. The Department of Public Works offers snow and ice removal, pump station maintenance, street sweeping, fleet management and patching services. It additionally provides erosion and sediment control services. The department operates the Center for Dispute Settlement, which offers a range of community mediation services. Its construction projects include the Senior Center at Kings Park, Medley Centre, Seneca Road Slope Restoration and Hampton Inn.
