I had a totally different experience than the previous reviewer, which is why I am leaving this review.
I starting going to Gentle Dental about a year ago. My buddy was seeing Dr. D'Lima and had decent experiences. I called to see how long the wait was. Got an appointment almost immediately. Since then I have had fillings, a root canal and routine care with Dr D'Lima and have no complaints. Going to the dentist is awful, this made it a lot better. I didn't have the after pain I had with other dentists. I'm not sure what they are doing differently but it is has been as good as going to the dentist can be.
The office is easy to get a hold of and has extensive hours. I didn't do any of the waiting you are talking about at any appointment. My wife is now going there as well.
Everyone in the practice seems professional. I personally go to Dr. D'Lima and ask for him when I make my appointments.

I had a hard time trusting a dentist. After a visit with several q dental i got horrible aniexty. It prevented me from properly taking care of my teeth... After 6 years of not going to a dentist my teeth were causing me horrible pain no where but Q dental accepted my insurance for a dental surgeon until i found gentle dental and gave them a shot. The wait for an appt. Was not to far and i am so thankful i found this little gem of rochester. The staff and Dr. magnon reyes were very comforting and supportive. I felt no pain before or after the procedure...having many teeth extracted (12 so far) they stood by their name they were gentle and very kind hearted. I got antibiotics after to prevent infections, medicine to take away pain as needed, a sheet with instructions on how to take care of extracted area food to eat... I have to go back in feb. To have 12 more removed but im finally not nervous... And Soon i will have beautiful straight perfect white teeth and confidence i never had before. Thank you everyone for finally giving me a smile.

I'm never going back. 3 strike...

I'm never going back. 3 strikes, Gentle Dental is out. I started going in December 2011, I went for a teeth cleaning. I had an appointment but had to wait in the waiting room for about 20 minutes, which I didn't understand. When I did get called back things started to run smoothly, got my x-rays done, but when I went to the chair there were numerous lengthy gaps where no one was with me, where I just sitting in the chair biding my time. It was wierd because I was new patient at this office. At one point I got out of my seat and grabbed my phone to Tweet (HaHa) about my experience.

The second time I went was in January 2012 for wisdom teeth extraction. I had an appointment and waited a half hour in the waiting room. The receptionists wasted no time having me pay upfront for the procedure. They're on top of that. -__- I'm not gonna get started on their "customer-service". If I had not paid upfront I prob would've walked out because I was nervous about the extraction any way and sitting in the waiting room and not knowing when I was going to get called was nerve-wrecking.

The last time I went was this last week, February 2012, I had a follow-up appointment for the wisdom extraction. When I arrived there were 8 people already seated in the waiting room. Surely I wouldn't have to wait for all of them to get called before I did because I had an appointment. No, I had to wait & this time, I kid you not, I WAITED ONE (1) FULL HOUR in the waiting room before getting called to the back. And, get this, when I did get called back I sat in the chair and waited again (go figure) and when the surgeon came in he looked in my mouth and checked out the sockets where my teeth used to be, asked me about any pain, told me to continue to wash my mouth out with salt water, and sent me on my way. I waited 1 HOUR to have a one minute conversation in which he tells me to continue to do what I've already been doing.

I gotta get some cavity work done but trust that it won't be done at GENTLE DENTAL. I was/am simply pissed because I made appointments, but I felt like I was at some sort of "walk-in" establishment. Go if you want, I hope your experience is better than mine. But don't make other engagements/meetings that immediately following your "appointment," you probably won't make it.
