Van Hoosen Middle School is an educational institution that is a part of Rochester Community Schools. The school serves more than 760 students in grades six through eight. Its general academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies and language arts. The school also conducts classes in life skills, French, Spanish and technology education. Van Hoosen Middle School supports a range of intramural sports activities that includes basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, football, cheerleading, and track and field. The school also operates a student council and teen knitting, ski and snowboard clubs. It has a parent-teacher-student association that sponsors talent shows and musical concerts. In addition, the school publishes a newsletter, The Voice, which carries updates on several upcoming events and activities. Van Hoosen Middle School is located in Rochester Hills, Mich.
