Spring Lake Park High School was just newly renovated. It's size is around that of a small junior college. It's a very welcoming place and people, especially students, find new friends quickly. There are tons of sports and clubs that you can join, varying from our Senate clubs, which raise money for that class year, to our Gay-Straight-Alliance clubs which talks about equality in the school. Although our students are separated by cliches, there are many intermixed groups. Nerds can be gorgeous, but quiet, and preps, however unusual it might be, can be not-so-up-to-par and still be too loud. There are some down sides to the school of course. There are some years where many fights happen but other times there are slim to none. Teachers sometimes aren't the best but many stay until late to help students. All in all our school is pretty great, and it would be a good first public school experience in Minnesota.
I find this school very unprofessional forest in crystal teachers are not well equipped to deal with young children. This school has sent teacher to my house unannounced. They like to down play the parent and there home they like to make parents think that your child has a disorder and then try to blame your home life as if it's dis functional. Please I rate this school a zero. Don't send your kids to this school some of the teacher are racist and aggravating towards the children. My children will no longer be attending. Thank you! New hope crystal community.
I went to this school for many years and got a great education. However I did not know about its great history untill visiting their web site (to look for year book photos) What a great story. Brought back alot of memories) Did not find any yearbook images but, once again they broaden my education! THANKS INKY! P.S. Special thanks to all the teachers and staff that put up with my hijinks for so many years but still managed to get through to me! (sorry!) :-) Sincerely yours, David Longfield
