Disabled American Veterans

My claim was sent to this Dav because of the backlog I guess in my area. I talked to them once and they wanted to know why I was calling them. They said I should consult the Dav in my area even though my Dav told me where my claim was and to call THEM! They told me I would receive a call back but it's been two weeks and no return call. They definitely are the worst so find an organization that actually cares about veterans. Oh my claim to date is 18 days past the estimated completion date on eBenefits so you would think they would be on this and give me some feedback but that would be too much like doing your job.

I have been a member of the DAV for several years and assigned under the Roanoke VA office. While DAV is a good organization overall; however, the Roanoke office has been anything but sympathetic to my plight to get assistance from the Department of Veterans Affairs. I am multi-disable veteran who is trying to get help with my disability compensation and the local Roanoke DAV has marginalize my cause and pretty much refused to follow up on any of my VA claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs. I feel like I have no recourse at this point but to write some type of review like this one to let others know what they can expect as well. If you are in need, please do not go to this veteran’s service organization location because you will not get it. They will not evening keep you informed of when there’s a change in your claim. Word to the wise….
