Winthrop Barn Theatre

This is a direct complaint on The Winthrop Barn Theater and i urge anyone to do their research before holding any event there. In my situation I made a contract with them thinking they were a legit company but it turns out that the barn theater hired a third party company and this company just picked up and left due to bankruptcy and drug charges, then left us up in the air with our wedding. The worst part of it was that the owners did not even take the time to inform us about the scandal and we had to find out by searching everywhere for a legit number to call the leasing manger of the Winthrop. If this whole situation with the fraudulent third party company isn't enough, what came next was even worse. I then assumed that the owners would take responsibility for this mishap but the contrary they made matters worse. Many of the factors agreed upon in the bogus contract were then thrown out of the window and to top it off they threatened to cancel the wedding on me a month before the date because I was being difficult about what was to be included in the contract and that i should feel "grateful" that they are even doing my wedding at all. Please do not fall into the trap i fell into and be left cleaning on the day of your OWN WEDDING until 2 am because they did not offer a clean up crew which was paid for and still not get your security deposit back. This Company is unprofessional and cannot be trusted with your events.
