I have gone to Dr. Bozner for a few years now and he is a good doctor and seems to know what he is doing. The staff is accommodating but not very helpful. They make you feel like you are bothering them by just making an appointment but I am not sure they realize it so I don’t have a problem with it – everyone has bad days. The problem I do have is the pricing on the glasses. They do not post the prices on any of their stuff and it is marked up more than double market value. I was there today to get 2 pair of glasses, regular and sunglasses, both prescriptions. I Love Kate Spade and have a good idea what her stuff is worth so I figured each pair would set me back 160 – 180 which is fine because my insurance covers about that. By the time I was done, my bill was over 400 not because I bought ridiculously expensive glasses but because they double the price on the frames. I could get the same pair of Kate Spade glasses anywhere else for 145 – 160 and they charged me 280. Buyer Beware – even if you have an idea what the merchandise is worth.
It makes me sad because the doctor is good but he has bad office management or bad pricing analyst, who knows.
Hope this helps someone else.
I looked through your records, and feel the need to clarify some things. First of all, I am sorry that you were not happy with your service or purchase from our office. The prices you were charged are Pre-defined by your insurance company, for the products & options that you chose. We are not allowed to vary the prices from their assigned benefit Price List, which is a part of your insurance agreement. The price would and should be exactly the same at any participating location you choose and use this insurance. By the way, we use a color coding price tag and have that pricing available for everyone to see. Also I noticed that you did purchase additional options for your eyewear, such as polycarbonate lenses, Premium anti-reflection coating , and polarized lenses. Once again, you were only charged the amount that your insurance company requires us to charge for those options. The out of pocket expenses for each complete pair of your glasses, individually, NEVER equaled, or even came near $280.00. I am afriad that your review is not accurate and is extremely misleading.
