I met friends at Jasons, which I had driven by and thought of maybe as a "deli" shop ONLY. I was surprised at the huge menu, number of soups, and with the speed of the service. The clam chowder was decent without being anything to write home about, and the sandwich generously portioned. The staff at the ordering counter was helpful since I didnt know my way around at first. She was focused and courteous as well. The checker did his job with no words or greeting. The place is big inside and a little on the noisy side. It took me awhile to figure out all the menu and how it all works, but I will go back for sure. The atmosphere is casual, and it would not be the place to go for quiet conversation.

Growing up in Riverside we ate pizza from Pietros every Friday night! It was perfect. However, when the management changed during the years that the previous negative comments were made, we became very disappointed and stopped our tradition. Since 2009 we have begun our Pietros pizza tradition again! We are not sure what caused this change for the better but the pizza is back up to the fresh quality it once was and the service is never less than enthusiastic, friendly and accommodating. It is a great place to take the family and have some fun. For those previously disappointed, as we once were, I recommend trying it again...I'm on my way now!
The bread they use here is what a real italian sub is suppose to be made out of. Not that real soft bread that the commercial places use. The outside of the bread should be crunchy, while the inside is softer. Also their spaghetti sauce is nice and simple without that nasty acid taste. No sugar needed here. Meatballs are like my Nana use to make. Garlic Bread is excellent, especially if you ask them to make it a little bit crunchier. I love this place! There is only one problem. Antones closes to early. I wish they would stay open until 6:00 at least.
