The room is inviting, with simple fresh decor (as of Sept. 2008) and good lighting. The bed is firm. Everything is quite clean. There is a movable desk and a high-speed Ethernet cable for Internet access. (That beats the speed & availability of wi-fi!) A continental breakfast, included, has boiled eggs, a wafflemaker for fresh waffles, cereal, juice, milk and reasonably good coffee. The neighborhood seems safe and quite respectable. It's near UC Riverside and there are plenty of restaurants, fast food and shopping. The staff has been courteous.
The mission is so beautiful no matter the time of year but at Christmas it is lit up with light and is so charming. Take time for take a carriage ride around it! I have been going there for years and I remember when I was a kid and it was being remodeled. It’s one of my favorite places. I love the old, mystery and charm of the place. They have great docent tours too! You get to go and see things up close and hear a little history of the place. I have always had wonderful service, food and drink while there.
