I recently had a retirement party. It was fantastic. Everything was very nice the food was outstanding, the decorations were beautiful. The owner Koko and the staff were very friendly and professional.

If there were a way to post this review with zero stars, that would be my rating. Never in all my life have a seen business owners with NO customer service skills AT ALL. I agree with you Tru S, the reviews must be based upon previous owners because there is something seriously wrong with Mz Koko. She and her family may want to consider getting her a mental health evaluation. I truly believe EVERY bad review I've read.

The owners are not only incredibly rude but are creative liars. No level of professionalism. with yelling and screaming at the customers and threatening to cancel events if they don't get their way AND THEN they want to keep your money for sub standard service. Our group experienced. The response to customer DIS satisfaction prove what people have been saying. There is a way to talk to people AND a professional business owner does not stoop to the level of posting personal insults because they don't like the reviews they have received.

The place was NOT CLEAN. If our decorator was going to use her own supplies, which was never said, then the old dirty table cloths, chair covers and sashes should have been removed from the previous event the day before. There were food particles on the floor and tables. When asked for someone to clean it as we set up, we wer given a broom and dust pan. Sooooo. We supposed to clean before and after the event? I think not
The ones we were given were stained or just plain dirty. We kept asking for clean ones. At the end, we were told he didn't have time to look for any more clean linens and he left the property. So our choice was to use dirty or nothing.

The female owners Mz KOKO and her husband went on a rampage for which there is NO EXCUSE! They are clearly in the wrong line of business. We were forced to take down bad reviews after during the event set up or they would not allow the event to go on. In an effort to have peace and complete the event, they were taken down. Mz Koko CLAIMS to have given us such a huge discount and we were ungrateful. OH PLEASE! What we paid was too much. Then they waited until the end of the night during clean up to say the sink in the kitchen leaks so don't use it...... REALLY? Are you KIDDING ME.

Not sure what you call a discount, but the amount paid was much more than what YOU CLAIMED during your ranting session, PLUS FOOD. Its all good though. Last I heard you were planning to take us to court. For what I don't know. sure that would be another interesting fabrication. Do you actually believe your own lies? Just curious.....

Bottom line people, Work with them at your own risk. Investigate carefully before giving up any money. If they're rude, there are plenty of other venues in the metro area. Either there were a few successful events OR SOMEBODY is posting fake reviews. Hard to believe these night and day experiences. Then again, there is no telling how many people were threatened to remove bad reviews as we were.

I decided to give this place my business based on the on-line reviews. Boy was I duped. What a horrible place to book anything. The reviews must be based on the previous owners of this place. The new owner Krazy Koko is unprofessional, insensitive, she's a run away locomotive train wreck. She agreed to meet with me to sign the contract, but to my surprise this woman was already pissed about something prior to my arrival. She was out of control and quickly became unhinged when I was 5 minutes late, after I called to inform her. Her husband and her 2 sons were pleading with her to stop yelling at me and that it's not the way to deal with your customer. She cursed them all so badly they walked away leaving me there shocked and very afraid for my life to say anything to her. I politely asked her for my money back, but she refused. Her eyes turned a bright orange she began to sweat profusely all over I had never seen anything so gross and horrifying in my life. She is in the wrong line of business. My advise to her is: because you were my last resort I gave you an opportunity to earn my business and you blew it. Going forward if you want honest customers/clients like me. Start by exterminating your entire facility, wash and replace those nasty filthy ass curtains and drapes, invest in having your fabrics professionally upholstered and stop using paper clips, staples, and safety pins as your décor and replace that stinking mildew smelling severely stained carpet with hard wood NOT CUTE. If you need "professional contractors let me know. This is America you're not in Africa no more, there are local company's who would feel sorry for you and do it for free.
Krazy Koko, you said to me you're about that life, but I don't think so. You slacking on what makes you money and it's your business. Reinvest in yourself...

I've had several events here and I must say I was extremely pleased! They catered the food and provided the DJ for us. The staff was accommodating to all my needs as well. Although the space was way more than I was looking for. I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to book their special event here. My family and friends are still impressed with how great of a time we had... monique lee

At The VIP Event Center not only do they book your special event for your special day....they can save you time by catering your food for your special day...I was really stressing about preparing the food for a very special event that I'm having...I have a lot of family and friends coming in from out of town...CoKo, stated to me let us relief some of that stress from you, by letting us cater your event for you...she cooked up a meal for my family...THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD IT MADE ME WANT TO SMACK SOMEBODY....Thank you, CoKo & Staff for giving me a Peace Of Mind...I Highly Recommend VIP Event Center for all your Event & Catering needs

I recently helped my event at the VIP Event Center on Mount Zion Road. Miss CoKo was the most pleasant and perfessional event planner I have ever had the opportunity to work with and the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend this event hall for your next event.

VIP Events Center is the place to be. I am glad to be associated with this events center especially during my niece's graduation party in July 2015. I am proud to say that i have recommended many people to this wonderful place because of the wonderful caring and dedicated owner. She would provide an excellent decoration and other amenities that you would need for a party. The space is awesome especially a nice and spacious parking lot, and the spacious kitchen is something to behold. The owner was also able to work with my flexibility and ready to make any changes that i needed and at the end of the day, i was given my deposit back without any issues. She is amazing and i would recommend this place to anybody any day.

I Had an event with them this past friday AND I LOVED IT!!!! they completely catered the event, they had a pretty nice and friendly staff, they have a great flexble setup, with a huge kitchen and bar, loved their prices thanks again!!!

GREAT PLACE, GREAT LOCATION! staff was nice, very clean, foodfood was delicious!!! I will have the rest of my events there.

I had my wedding ceremony and reception here. Very reasonably priced and they decorated EVERYTHING! The staff was amazing and the private catering was perfect.
