        James River Air Conditioning was established in the Richmond community and was built on an entrepreneurial spirit that provides world- class service with all the warmth, spirit and conviction of a locally owned and operated business. This philosophy has kept us growing since 1967. Our Residential Department specializes in home comfort systems. We service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, furnaces, boilers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners. We service all makes and models of heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and indoor air quality equipment.Our Commercial Department specializes in commercial comfort systems and building automation systems. Our team of technicians service and install air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, VAV systems, cooling towers, duct systems, ventilation systems, economizers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners.Both our residential and commercial service departments offer a variety of preventive maintenance plans, from basic maintenance to full coverage including repair parts and labor. We also offer electrical and plumbing services, including wiring, upgrades, water heaters, backflow preventers, and medical gas piping.Our Energy Solutions Group is exploring all practical energy strategies that will make more and more sense for our clients as they seek clean, renewable, safe power that reduces our dependence on foreign oil. We provide home energy audit services and offer practical green solutions including solar, geothermal, and insulation services.

        Donald did an excellent job in his service appointment at our house today. He was very thorough and identified a few issues that he subsequently resolved. He was professional, polite and explained in detail the different systems he was checking and problems he found. I think we had excellent service from Donald today.

        James River always gives us great service, very prompt, friendly and professional. Today was no exception. Mike Jones, the Service Technician that came today, was awesome. He checked out the system, located the issue and got our problem solved quickly and efficiently. I’m glad Mike was working today (it’s his Saturday, too), and he’s always very personable and gives us helpful advice. It’s something we value with James River, and Mike and people like him are why we stay as customers of JR.

        The technicians misdiagnosed my AC unit and had a unpleasant and unprofessional attitude. After an unsuccessful attempted repair, I was told that on the first visit the actual problem was not fully and clearly identified. This required another visit and another cost.
