Ophthalmology
Dr. Tuman received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, in 1987. He earned his M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991 and completed his internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, the following year. He finished his Ophthalmology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, in 1997.
Macular Degeneration
After residency, Dr. Sambhara spent an additional year of training at Duke Eye Center in Durham, NC, where he completed a fellowship in medical retina and diseases of the vitreous cavity. There, he was trained in cutting edge angiographic techniques for diagnosing and managing retinal vascular diseases, and was exposed to novel drug design research for Age Related Macular Degeneration.
Laser Eye Surgery
In addition to scoring in the top 3% on his board exams, Dr. Edwards has performed thousands of eye surgeries and has certifications with the VISX laser, Intralase, and custom LASIK procedure, as well as being Board Certified and a member of AAO and ISRS. Dr. Edwards joined the clinic in 2003.
Cataracts
While at the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin Dr. Edwards has blended cataract and refractive procedures to include correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Dr. Edwards has also implanted several intraocular lens types to reduce the need for reading glasses. He is certified to use the VISX and Intralase lasers, along with the Hansatome microkeratome.

It is very important for patients to take very good care of themselves to help prevent diabetic retinopathy. Patients should have regular medical eye exams and try to maintain good blood sugar levels, good blood pressure, and avoid smoking.

Radiology
• When you get services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers there may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers can bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist, or intensivist services. These providers can’t balance bill you and may not ask you to give up your protections not to be balance billed.

Blepharoplasty
Cosmetic eyelid surgery removes the excess fat and wrinkled, drooping skin of the upper eyelids that can result in a tired or sad-looking face.
