We recently had a party at the Venetian Palace Banquet Hall. The owner of the hall has no personality, we had parties at different halls in Glendale and usually the owner tries to please you. Not this guy, it is what it is, take it or leave. The service was really BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD. Food tasted good only if it made it to your table. The owner was not there the day of the party but a ""manager"" was who was just standing by the kitchen door instead of walking around and checking to see if everything was ok. There were not enough people serving. The head table needed bread and for 10 min we could not locate a single waiter/waitress to tell them we needed bread. Some tables got cake and some didn't but we had left over cake that we took home with us. Unopenned or opened Vodka bottles that were on tables that we paid for, we couldn't take home. I asked the manager to pack us a plate of appetizers and any left over food just a few plates, he told me he didn't think there was anything left for us to pack and take home... I had never experienced that with Banquet Halls, at least not the ones in Glendale. They will give you enough food to feed another 30 people the next day. Instead we got home and my husband had to have cereal. We paid for the hall a week before the party because that's how the contract is. So even if we complained nothing was going to be done about it. When my husband told the owner that service was really bad, you know what the owner said? He said, well the head waitress was sick that day so I'm not surprised that the service was bad.... I mean what are you going to do about it as a hall owner. I guess this guy does not want return business and let me tell you we are not referring anyone to this hall. We only chose this hall because of the location, it was close to our church in Encino and close to our home, BIG MISTAKE. Thanks for reading, hope it helped.
