Shannon's Personalized Home Cleaning

Scheduling was a problem. Cleaning is not professional. After paying $100 had to re-clean the entire house. Hourly charge is the worst arrangement – you would not know what they do while “cleaning”, definitely not cleaning, not even dusting. Do not recommend.

I am a Reno local was very disappointed in this cleaning service. Horrible customer service and not thorough, superficial cleaning. LOOK AT THE GOOGLE REVIEWS BEFORE CONTACTING - THE REVIEWS ON HERE ARE OBVIOUSLY FROM THE COMPANY BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE HAVE NEVER REVIEWED ANYTHING ELSE. I had purchased the 3 hour cleaning session through Group-on. I was looking for a possible weekly or monthly cleaning service but absolutely will NOT be using Shannon's cleaning again. First of all they were horrible about returning phone calls - I had tried several times to set an appointment, then twice, TWICE, they canceled on me the day of, which was a big inconvenience because I had arranged for someone to be at my house. The cleaning was subpar and superficial - the tub didn't look scrubbed and still grime on my sink. I had a full toilet paper roll in my bathroom that was almost gone, which made me think this was used to clean instead of a sponge. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

As a working mother I've found a service that cares. The waiting time to get an appointment was hectic, but Patty explained her personal predicament. Glad you're getting better! The lady she sent over was just terrific, Thank you again for the care you put into my home.

I have finally found a cleaning service that fit my needs. Shannon's is the best! They work off my priority list and send the same housekeeper every time. I am a satisfied customer. They also have a nice off staff and the owner goes out of her way to make her customers happy.

Shannon's Personalized Home cleaning is the best service I have ever used. I have tried many housekeeping services and this was the only one that fit my needs. I like the fact that they only send one person. I like having the same housekeeper for every visit. Also the staff at Shannon's are very nice to deal with. I especially like the owner. This is a very professional, friendly company. I am so glad I found them.

With a busy family, having someone clean makes it possible for me to keep up on things. My housekeeper has been doing our house for so long that she seems like part of the family. Shannon's has been cleaning my house for 6 years on a monthly bases. I have been very pleased and look forward every month to have my maid come to dust, vacuum, clean my bathrooms and kitchen areas. She also changes the sheets on my bed which is extremely helpful since I have a hard time doing it myself. She makes easy for me to live comfortably at 85 years in my home that is clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Shannon's to anyone needing help. I have found Shannon's to be a reliable, affordable cleaning service.

I was disappointed with my experience with the cleaning service. There was a mix-up initially with the first date of service, but I was willing to overlook it and they rescheduled soon to try and get the house cleaned. The person who cleaned left some crumbs under the tables and in the corners, and didn't follow the order of the priority list we'd left. She also left a note that said she couldn't finish, but would be happy to come back free of charge if we called her. I couldn't because I was leaving town the next day. The phone call I placed to pay for the service earlier that day was returned a couple of weeks later. When I explained my disappointment withe the work and questioned the amount of time the person actually spent cleaning, I was told she signed the time sheet for three hours, so she must have been there for three hours. I was also told that I should have called that day to discuss the situation, not wait until my phone call about the bill was returned. I was also told that if I didn't pay the bill promptly, I would be sent to collections. I was offered $25 off my next service, but at that point, I didn't want to continue any type of relationship with the company. I just wanted to pay for the time that someone had spent cleaning and be done with it. After more discussion, an offer was made to reduce the amount of money paid for the service and I agreed, but after she called the cleaning person and called me back, she rescinded that offer, saying the person cleaned for three hours, so it was back up to $75. I paid it, but given the person left a note saying she couldn't finish, and it certainly didn't appear that she cleaned everything she said she did, I think I was overcharged. The person I talked to on the phone also didn't seem interested in fixing the problem, just in getting the money. Her tone was argumentative and short.

Worker on time, courteous, thorough and does the necessary tasks withiout prompting, or extra instructions. The work done over a three hour period of time is done without interrupting or inconveniencing the people in the home. You are advised of completion of the tasks and that they are departing; insuring that there is an opportunity to note any dissatisfaction or additional things that need attention, before departing. Trustworthy personnel, with good work ethic and a desire to please Shannons' customers. Reliable, courteous, and responsible workers. Had the pleasure of this sevice for many years.

I have used Shannon's for several years and they are the best in the business. Nice people, great service, and the owners is very responsive and professional. I would recommend them to anyone.



You set how many hours, and what you want cleaned and that's what they follow. Simple, easy, and affordable.

I hired Shannon's Personalized House Cleaning to clean my empty house. One of the girls that was assigned to clean the kitchen did a very poor job. The oven was not cleaned and there was a white film left on the oven. The sinks where not cleaned nor were the floors. When I showed up to see how they were doing the girl was eating her lunch. After they left we went back to see how the house was and found that the kitchen had been poorly cleaned. I called Shannon's and complained and she said she would schedule another girl to go out and redo the kitchen. She told me when I hired them that with two girls they should be able to clean the house in four hours being that it was empty. The house was not dirty and only needed surface cleaning. She was aware up front that our house was 2700 square feet. When she sent the girl back out to clean she charged us for three more hours of cleaning even though the first job was not done right the first time. She said it was because the girls didn't have enough time to do the job right the first time, but one of her employee's had time to eat out my time when she should of been cleaning. I should have told Shannon's that she was eating but the girl told me it was her lunch time, I didn't know I was going to get charged for her eating when she should of been cleaning.

The caused us to cancel our open house. I along with Shannon's belong to a trade group and did a trade on this. The trade is just like cash. I thought that she would be more professional and know how many hours it would take to clean a empty house of our size, but I guess she is still learning. It is sad that she choose to lose a client rather than take care of the problem. Beware she will charge you again even if the job is not done right.
