I purchased tires last year and the balance job was so bad (severe front end shimmy at 60-65mph) that I had to stop in Medford, Or. at the Les Schwab store to have them properly balanced. I had 4 other tires balanced for a car I am restoring and suspect I will have to have them re-balanced as well. I am in the market for tires now and would avoid this business at all costs.

Not only have I told my best friend about this place, I have told evryone I know ( and some I don't even know- who have asked where I get my tires from in this area...Fernley, Nevada) about the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRODUCTS AND FREE ADDITIONAL ADVICE that American Tire Pros have provided me. I have spent a small fortune there and am proud, relieved and I difinately feel a great sense of security transporting my family on their products and with their services. I have purchased 2 sets of tires (4 each) for two differnet vehicles, my wife's 2006 Potaic G6 and my1993-4 Toyota 4-Runner 4X4. I don't compromise quality/utility. American Tire Pros provide options for all consumers- don't be an uneducated consumer. Check prices vs. quality and warraty and ask what you can expect from their services and when. They will tell you! They always try to go out of their way to accomodate the customers needs, but be frank. My income level is low to middle class - 35K/yr and I have been convienced (after grilling them for justifications) to spend more based on their expert knowledge combined with what my habits and intended use would be.
While I wrote this, I spent over 10 minutes on hold and didn't care, because I knew I would be taken care of. If you are impatient, want a deal on cheap on cheap crap or want something for nothing- go somewhere else! If you have integrity and can deal with the fact that customer service is what you make of it then take your business to these folks- they will treat you right. (Just to inform; my first experience there was buying 4 tires and waiting for about 5 hours to have the work done. I did not have an appointment. I saw that they "fit" me in anyway and dealt with it with my then 2 year old daughter. I did not have a pleasant experience due to the wait, but I was taken care of none the less. And it paid off as I have been there for another set of tires, an alignment and I am currently scheduling a brake job for tomorrow.

Don't ever go to this place! "American Tire Pros Complete Car Care Center". They have a guy named Mike who has no customer service skills at all! As a second year customer I was disgusted on how customer service doesn't mean anything to this car "care" shop! I got 4 brand new tires back in February and just recently my Trooper's back tire blew out while driving home from work, I took the tire in to have it replaced, but instead of getting a call back I had to call for 2 days to get an update! Finally I spoke to this moron, Mike, and gave me 2 options: buy a new tire from them at $108.99 no questions asked or ship the blown out tire to the manufacturer to have them determine what might've happened and they might send me a new tire. Apparently it's my fault it blew out because I was driving my Trooper with a FLAT, ACCORDING TO MIKE! Not only did he blame me for having my tire blow out, but he treated me with no DAMN RESPECT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL BE TALKING TO MY ATTORNEY ABOUT THIS ONE. PLEASE DONT EVER GO THERE! They are on the corner of Mill St and Kietzke Ln. Just keep driving.
I am the a fore mentioned Mike responding to Mr. Hernandez's complaint. I am sorry to see any customer who puts out hard earned money have to pay for another tire. Every tire comes with a manufacture workmanship and material defect warranty. Here at American Tire, we go a step further. We have a policy to offer every customer of ours the "Freedom Plan" at 10% of the cost of their tire. The "Freedom Plan" is an extensive nationwide road hazard warranty designed to give our customers a hassle free way of replacing or repairing their tire at "no cost" for the first year, and pro rated there after for any problem created by a road hazard condition. Mr. Hernandez declined to purchase the Freedom Plan; however, I did offered a new tire at my cost or to send the tire in to the manufacturer but this did not satisfy him. I am only a middle man standing between the manufacture and the consumer. All tires for use on highways have a department of transportation serial number and the manufacture must follow rigorous standards in order to build tires for on highway use. Tires are over built and are not designed to just blow out and there were indications on the tire that it was driven on with low tire pressure. Thank you for hearing my statement concerning this matter.

On 4/29/2011 we took our vehicle in for several different services. We were very pleased with the professionalism of the staff and the excellent service we received. We paid a lot less than the Honda dealership would have charged us. They did everything they could to improve our gas mileage including inflating our tires with nitrogen. Andy the store manager followed up with us the next day to make sure all the services were adequate and that there were no problems.
We also bought tires three years ago they have 50,000 miles and still have a lot of tread left

These guys went way beyond the call of duty to make good on a problem I had while Andy was away. Nobody is perfect - when Andy found out that I had a problem he contacted me and did more than make good on the previous issue. It's good to do business with people that value their customers.
Thanks for your help Andy!
James, This is Andy with American Tire. I had talked to you a few years ago when you first started coming to our store. I was in Afghanistan with the Nevada Army National Guard during the last year, so I was not able to be at the store that year. According to Mike you had the wrong tires and wheels on your vehicle. We had some trouble with getting the alignment correct, so we kept working on it until it was finished. When you came in the first time after your wife hit the curb, it already had worn front end parts, and tires that had worn prematurely due to that fact. We fix the problem with the parts and aligned the vehicle after that. The work took way to long and you had to come back to the store too many times, so Steve gave you a free air conditioning service. If any of this is not what happened please give me a call at the store 775-786-8473 or E-mail me at americantirepros@yahoo.com and I will give you my cell phone number. I take extreme pride in my store, it is my lively hood, and I care about every customer that walks through my door. I handle things differently than my dad Mike, so let me know if I can help you.
