Great food at a casual fun place to eat. Lots of tv's for the sports fans at the front and back patio bar(s).
Best wings I've had and the Jimmy G's steak is one of my favorites.

Provided by SuperpagesAnti-american, anti-veterian, anti-military. The owner should go to some location that feels the same way. I can think of a few. I will talk with my wallet and go some where else.

Provided by SuperpagesHave been there a couple of times - thought it was great - but after hearing the episode of the Marine being asked to leave - I am sorry to say I won't be back!

Provided by SuperpagesI rated this place 1 star because you can't rate it any lower. This place discriminates against the military so don't enter with a uniform or military insignia of any kind. You will be asked to leave by the owner "April".

Provided by SuperpagesTo whom it may concern,I am a decorated combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served the United States during Operation Desert Storm. I was Honorably Discharged in 1993 and I continue to serve my community today. I take great pride in America and my life of service to my country and community. I enjoy in the freedom that so many many veterans have given their lives to secure and protect for the American people. On 05/10/08 my wife and I went to the Railroad House (152 Woodrow Ave Sinking Spring Pa 19608 610-678-1177) for a night out together. I had ordered something to drink for my wife and I, then sat down to enjoy ourselves. I was approached by the doorman, whom I have known for many years. He told me that the the owner "April" did not want me in the bar wearing my jacket that had United States Marine Corps patches on it. He told me that she wanted me to remove the jacket or leave the establishment. I told the doorman that my jacket represented the United States Marine Corps and the veterans organization I belonged to. The doorman told me that he was sorry but "April" did not want that in her bar. Feeling insulted and embarrassed, my wife and I finished our drinks and left the establishment. It was the first time inmy life that I have been discriminated against for being a Marine.I think it is disgraceful that a business would treat a veteran of this countryin such a way.My fellow Marines are giving their lives overseas and I wonderif they will be treated the same when they return home? We don't ask for special treatment, just the freedom to enjoy the same rights as everyone else in this country. The freedom veterans have fought and died to protect for all Americans.

The railroad house is an amazing place, run by amazing people. April and Jim have found there niche in the restaurant business with the railroad house. the food is amazing and the bar area is beautiful. I have never seen them turn anyone away based on anything listed in the other reviews. it is completely and utterly ridiculous that someone would make that claim, and i find it very sad/pathetic. so if you want some great food, great company, and a awesome place to watch the game i would HIGHLY recommend the railroad house. try the jimmy g's steak!!!

You refuse servuce to a Marine- you lose this customer and anyone I tell about this. My son served in Iraq and came home to us safe. Be glad that was not me with my son. I assue you would not have forgot me.

Provided by SuperpagesIt is a neat place along the railroad tracks in Sinking Spring Berks County Pennsylvania that had a slow start but has bloomed into a busy spot. You can find college girls and boys as well as the business crowd trying to pick them up. But if you are a veteran who happens to be wearing your military patches on your jacket, You are not welcome. Based on the way the owner April treats veterans of this country, I will never spend a dime of my hard earned money there again. I recommend all vets and anyone who supports their veterans go elsewhere.
