      I Would Not Recommend
      Not authentic, limited selection.

I entered this small restaurant expecting some old school sushi, but all I got was bunch of posers. The waiter greeted us by saying they didn't have california rolls or spicy tuna, only traditional sushi. I said fine, you can't get more traditional than my taste. I sat down and asked for menu. She said there was none. I asked for sake list but there was none. Only sake was Onigoroshi, which is my favorite. So I ordered a bottle even through they were charging 100 bucks for it. It usually cost 60 bucks in most restaurants. So I started ordering my standard choices first. I asked for O'toro, uni, miragui, hamachi, etc. I avoid omakase in restaurant I go for the first time. They were all average in taste. O'toro was shu'toro at best. I told this to waitress and asked for more fatty belly cut. She said they didn't have it. For second round of ordering, I asked her if she recommended anything. No recommendation. I asked if they had anything alive. She said no. I had few other items like Ankimo and Aji, which were OK. I left feeling unsatisfied. Traditional my foot. This place is more like crappy sushi joint frontin to be authentic sushi restaurant. Only amateurs will be fooled. Don't be a poser!

      Good
      For the westernized taste

Ok, I've been back to this place several times. It's usually because someone wants to try it and he or she doesn't want to take my word for it that it's just alright. Food is mostly fushion style with cooked items that taste good. Omakase is not bad but not worth the money. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind plucking down 3 bills per person if food is worth it. But if I pay $600 for two people, I should be getting some kick-ass fish like live amaebi, otoro, caviar (not the California sturgeon), etc. Here, you get some average fish and cooked items. Definitely you're just paying for the name, similar to Nobu at Malibu. You want really the good stuff, stick to little tokyo restaurants like SushiGo55 (live items), Komasa (good and cheap), Hamakawa (excellent chu-toro although I prefer otoro), and newly opened Tekumi (tasty kumamoto oysters)

      Good
      Quality Dropping

I've been going to this place for past 2 years, almost once every 2 weeks. In the beginning, fish was fresh with various live choices certain days. Now, quality and also service is really dropping. Sushi chefs seem to be changing every few months. What's going on? New chefs are so slow. Don't go here on weekends. You'll wait forever getting your food. Also, the daily specials, although same in most days, are getting shorter. Selection is going down. Hate to see this happening to my favorite sushi restaurant. But if this downfall continue, I must now move on to my other choices.

      Terrible

So after having pretty good experience when I was here when they first opened up (please read 7/06 review), I tried it few more times. Quality started to slip slowly, and now, this place is horrible. First of all, all you see is little teenagers as customers. What a surprise since price is cheap. Fish is so bad. No more live items, just all old, cheap fish. These teenie boppers don't know the difference anyway. Go here if you want to be back in high school and eating cafeteria quality food.
