As a consumer it\u2019s rare to come across someone who\u2019s both an exceptionally well qualified professional and a really nice guy. But that\u2019s Mike Garrone. I needed help with two issues. My HP laptop had begun spontaneously shutting down during normal operations. There had also been times when the fan had run at high speed for a long time. I asked Mike if he could get me back in business and he tried just about everything. He recemented the heat sink to the CPU and replaced the fan but the problem persisted. This is where most experts would have given up. But he collaborated with a colleague who had worked for HP and was able to get a replacement CPU though the unit is about three years old. That fixed the problem and the computer is working great. My other issue involved upgrading me from an old Dell to a new HP desktop. I wanted all of my data files transitioned over to the new computer so I\u2019d be able to find everything right where it used to be on the old computer. I also required the ability to use legacy (tax) software for which I no longer had the original application files. When I got the new computer back Mike had created a Virtual Machine which exactly mimics my old computer so I can use the legacy tax software if needed. He also set the new computer up so everything is in its expected place. This includes all of my email folders, my documents, spread- sheets, Powerpoint presentations, databases, photos and music. He just did a great job and I couldn\u2019t recommend him highly enough.
