Absolutely Horrible and Unacceptable

Wow. What an experience! Let me be a bit more specific as to not mislead anyone – it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any restaurant/business. Let me briefly summarize and then explain with further detail. My girlfriend and I became very sick after eating here and I was then ripped off by having my credit card charged twice – once for the normal amount and then twice for TEN TIMES the original amount. As you can imagine, the latter of the two has become the more serious issue. Perhaps my girlfriend and I were just having “sensitive stomach days.” That could very likely be the case. I, personally, think it was the spinach roll appetizers we got that were already prepared well in advance, refrigerated, then cut and served as ordered. They tasted a bit off, but I ate them anyway. What can I say, I like goat cheese. That problem ended with several swigs of Pepto Bismol and a few hours in the bathroom. The other problem was a bit more serious. The incompetence of this restaurant and staff is beyond ridiculous. It wasn’t until a week later when my credit card was denied at another restaurant that I realized something was wrong. That night I called to check the balance on my credit card and see the last charges made. One was approximately twenty-six (26) dollars – the amount I spent at Greenz. The next charge was two hundred twenty-six (226) dollars. I called customer service the next day and found out the charge was from Greenz. So, I was charged my original purchase of 26 dollars and then charged 226 dollars immediately after that. The fact that his happened is enough to raise suspicion. But, I chalked it up as a simple and honest mistake. I went by Greenz that day to try and clear things up. When I arrived I told the cashier (the only person around) what was going on. I showed him my receipt, which he took to show to the manager and explain what was going on. I guess the hectic after-work rush (of two people) kept the manager contained to the back office, because he/she never came out to apologize or tell me how/when the problem would be corrected. Instead the cashier made a copy of my receipt, took my name and telephone number and told me that the manager would “fix it” the following day. So I gave them a few days, and nothing was done. I called them this time around and was stuck on the phone with the same guy (cashier) to give me the same spiel about how the manger would fix it the next day (neither the owner were the manager were present at the time of my call). So I gave them a few more days – nothing. At this point I realized they had no intention of refunding my money. If you were a bunch of incompetent fools who made an easy $226, would you?? So I notified Visa and reported the charge as fraudulent and then contacted the Better Business Bureau. It wasn’t until they were contacted by the BBB that they finally decided take notice of this mistake. The general manager actually stated that he was never made aware of this. Wow, really? (If you’re ever around Greenz be sure and help them out by donating a pack of Post-It notes) I know this may have been a fluke occurrence, but for it to have gone on as long as it did was absolutely ludicrous. Oh, and to clarify - it took TWENTY-FIVE (25) DAYS for these people, or rather this “unaware” general manager, to issue me a credit. The way this was handled (if you can call it that) was completely unacceptable. Use caution when eating at this restaurant. You may end up paying more than you should for a date with your toilet.

      Great atmosphere, great bubble tea!

Having just moved to Dallas, I was immediately in search of a good place to find bubble tea. Luckily, my girlfriend and I were driving by one night and happened to see some very lovely and inviting signage reading "Chill Bubble Tea." Since we were on our way to dinner that night, I knew we couldn't make it, but I made her promise me we'd go back. When I finally made it there, I was amazed. Both my girlfriend and I are designers, and the interior of Chill Bubble Tea was amazing.....it was our cup of tea!* We have been loyal customers since, going as many times as we can a week. As I said, the menu is great. Serving both hot and cold tea, bubble tea in the original liquid and ice format or as a smoothie. They have traditional bubble tea flavors (taro, milk tea, lychee, etc) that you can mix if you please, or if you're feeling adventurous you can try one of the custom creations available. They also have frozen yogurt, but I've yet to try any because I'm too obsessed with the bubble tea smoothies. The service and staff there are extremely nice, as well. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran bubble tea lover or completely new to bubble tea - this place is amazing. -The Angry Vegetarian

      Great New York Style Pizza

Having lived in New York for quite a while, Carmines is the closest thing to make me have the great memories of the pizza I ate while living in NY. I usually resent pizza places that say "New York Style Pizza," etc....but this has completely turned that around.
