This feedback is not to talk bad nor good about this place, I will just tell my story. My normal place to go is Allegheny Optical in Martinsburg and it has been for 15 or so years. I tried some place new, and the tests they offered seemed good to check vision, it cost extra to do some other tests and for them to take pictures of your eye. I got a new prescription for my eyes. The doctor said it was just a slight increase in power from last set of glasses I had. When I got my glasses ( three weeks later !! ), WOW.. it was like looking through a fish bowl lense. They insisted that I try them over the weekend and see how my eyes adjusted. Well I tried and they made me sick to my stomach. I took them back, so took measurements of my old glasses. They sent the new ones back and Three weeks later again, I got my new ones back. This time they were huge, and they didnt even fit into the glass frames. The thickness of them was about twice to three times the size of my old glasses and they had this deep curve to them. They made my eyes look like saucers. I had to hold the lenses to my eyes since they didnt fit into the glasses that well. They couldnt even tighten down the screws. These glasses were like 2mm thicker than my old ones. So they sent them back, and 3 weeks later !! I get my news one back again.. When I put them on I briefly got excited because I could see straight ahead, but as soon as i moved my head and looked slightly off center , everything was very blurry. They said to try them again over the weekend, so i did, and the blurriness went away. I really didnt have any more contact with the doctor, just the associates up front, which were very nice and understanding. But i told them after three months of this, I just want my money back for the glasses. Over all my experience with them was not that bad, I have a hard prescription to fill for my eyes with my astigmatism and sightedness. So I am going back to where they know my eyes better, and can get glasses with in 5 business days. Im still giving this guy a shot with my contacts. My first trial set , one eye didnt fit, second didnt fit in one eye, trying again today. Other people had great experiences with him, I just happened to be one of those who did not. Not mad, and am thankful for their help.
