My name is Becky Henke, the office manager since 2013. I helped Dr Andersen open her practice in Rancho Santa Margarita 32 years ago before moving to North Carolina where I taught middle school math and raised my 2 wonderful children and many family pets. Laser Eye Surgery

Eye Exam
A comprehensive eye examination consists of a variety of standard tests designed to measure visual acuity and other vision faculties, as well as observe the health of the eye and check for common eye diseases. There is no pain or discomfort associated with an exam, and they typically take less than an hour.

Nurse Patty was raised and educated on the East Coast. She began her career as a labor and delivery nurse, and eventually moved into aesthetic nursing 22 years ago. She is experienced with a variety of medical grade lasers devices, and treatments including Botox, Fillers and PRF. Her new found passion is helping relieve patients of the uncomfortable symptoms of dry eye syndrome. On any given day you can find her in the pre testing room, assisting the doctors with treatments or helping folks select frames. She is a mom to one son and animal lover who currently shares her home with a loving pitty, and enjoys decorating and re-finishing furniture in her spare time.

Dr. Andersen was the first Optometrist in the nation to offer CIMT, Carotid Artery Intima Thickness ultrasound in detecting cardiovascular disease in her patients. Not only can she and her associates look to see damage to blood vessels in the retina, now they can look for atherosclerosis and plaques, potentially damaging the heart. These changes are reversible and Dr. Andersen is able to give her patients a report card with nutritional information designed to educate and create positive change for a healthier lifestyle. Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Therapy is a common dermatology treatment that is used for skin conditions such as rosacea, sun damage, acne scarring, and wrinkles. Recent studies show that it also effectively treats chronic dry eye because it has multiple mechanisms of action that target the root cause of symptoms. Treatment with IPL uses a series of controlled, high energy light pulses to directly reduce inflammation and vascularization of the eyelid, liquefy and unclog tear glands to stimulate healthy tear production and keep eyes healthy, moisturized, and comfortable.
