I made the hard decision to put my dog to sleep, and Dr. Virkus could not have been more understanding and compassionate. She was just what I needed in my time of heartbreak. I’ll be forever grateful for the heart she showed when I needed it most. The cost here might be more than other places I’ve been.. but you get what you pay for - high quality, knowledgeable care from a caring team.

We have been long time clients at Quail Corners and I recommend them to everyone. The entire staff cares for our pets as though they were their own. The staff is wonderful - knows us by first name and, better yet, knows our dog. The doctors are all fantastic and Dr. Gjessing is absolutely amazing! Our dog loves everyone that works at Quail and they give her excellent care and tons of love.

Our dog has had ear infections for 3-4 years with 10-20 visits to other local vet hospital. The doctors at Quail Corners used a scope attached to an iPhone to better diagnose why our dog continued to get ear infections. They gave her a gentle sedation and did a fantastic job removing hair and wax in her ears. We were able to see pictures on their iPhone from the exam. Our dog has gone 6+ months without another ear infections.

The team at Quail Corners gets an A+ for treating our Shadow with such great care and love.

After multiple times being shocked by the random hikes in cost of meds and services, we spoke to our Vet and the office manager "so i thought" resulting in a plan of care that was agreed upon. Every time I have walked in the building from the time the plan was established I have had different charges and no communication prior to the appointment informing me of the increase. Use of different medications that cost more without consent from me, with the excuse each Vet DR can prescribe what ever they chose is a stupid excuse that was fixed by requesting only Dr Piver with my dogs care and medication. Last point 1/16/15 .75 dexdomitor injection cost $46.47 then 3/15/15 .81 dexdomitor injection cost $63.01 and now 2/29/16 the same amount cost $84.41. You doubled your price in 1 year!!!! You now forced me to sacrifice the excellent care Dr. Piver gives Titan because of Quail Corners as an establishment and its office staff being inconsiderate and unprofessional!

I have used Quail Corners Animal Hosp. ever since Dr. Jackson first opened his practice in the 1960's & have been VERY SATISFIED. All of the Vets & staff have been very knowledgeable, caring & compassionate. If your pet hospitalized the Staff will let you visit your pet & bring a favorite stuffed toy or blanket to help comfort them.

Horrible

They took TWO months to contact me and let me know my dog had a serious diease that could KILL her. When I asked why no one told me, she told me they had? WHICH THEY HADN'T. I wouldn't refer anyone here. All they care about is money. I also bought the heartworm pills they said would take care of all worms, the priciest there was. And my dog has hookworms now. Find another vet. The time will be worth it!

I have been a client here for 15 years and this WAS an excellent place to go when Dr. Jackson was in charge. Since he has retired this vet clinic has done a complete downward spiral. In the last 2 yrs I am now on my 4th vet due to turn over. All the good ones left except Dr. Piver thank goodness. She is a kind caring person to the animals and their parents. She has the animal’s best interest at heart and I will not allow another vet to see my pets except her - no sniffs or tale wags about it. The Manager is rude and heartless! She needs to take some sort of sensitivity class or how to properly speak to people. The front staff are very nice people but they are forced to treat you like it's your first time their every time because of all the new rules / regulations which comes across as harsh, abrasive, insensitive and disturbing. No one there has any authority to do anything except the vets who buy the way don't call you when they say they are nor do they return phone calls. (again except Dr. Piver) I use to feel like family there now all I feel like they see are dollar signs - ALOT OF THEM. It is sickening what the new Owners did to this place. New Owners: NVA (National Veterinary Associates) are out of California for Pete*Sake. Website www.nvaonline.com, Local contact person is Dr. John Isaacs, Medical Director.

Greedy and Rude!

I use to goto this animal hospital and everytime I got rude service from the Receptionist. They acted as though they were above everyone! There are a couple of Veterinarians that I liked (they aren't there anymore), but the newer Vets. are very money hungry! I was told the Vets. were competing to become partners, and to make a good impression had to bring in a great deal of money. I understand that Vet. school is expensive and extremely difficult. However, I don't like being squeezed for more money. My husband and I were laid off from our jobs and can't afford much. My cat had a skin allergy, and I was expecting to just pay for Prednisone plus visit cost. The Vet. wanted to do a ton of tests which I refused at the moment due to financial troubles (I just have to add that I worked at an animal hospital for three years and was accepted into NC State Vet. school. Some of the tests the Vet. wanted to perform weren't even necessary). The Vet. recommended I give up my cat if I couldn't pay for treatment. What kind of recommendation is that? Not many people are going to take a seven year old cat. Oh, the best part...I was scrutinized for declawing my cat when she was a kitten (by the same animal hospital)! The Vet. said I could have just let my cat go free and let nature take its course. I called the manager the next day and she absolutely agreed with the Vet. Seriously?
