Edward and Trey are simply the best of the best. My beautiful Julia recently passed and these two men simply overwhelmed me with their kindness, generosity and compassion. Every request I made, they honored and every concern I had they addressed.



I kept waiting for the catch, waiting for the cost to go up or waiting for something to go wrong. I mentioned my concern of the low cost to Edward and he smiled and looked at me and said, "John, stop worrying, just allow us to help ya' out"



The approach these guys have, the way they talked to me and even they way the dressed (no black suites rule) was so comforting. I simply wanted to share my experience and thank them and the entire staff.



I found the funeral home online and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Many, many thanks to these two specifically

I just read several of the reviews for City of Oaks and I'm in tears right now. I intentionally came to this site today to write a positive review about the funeral home and specifically about Edward Cosmos. When you find that you need of a funeral home, I can personaly recommend this one. That man simply represents kindness and compassion. Without a doubt in my mind he personaly made this experience much less painful than I had anticipated

I recently went to a memorial service at City of Oaks Funeral Home in Raleigh and I was blown away at their "Gift Shop". Totally awesome, totally relevant. Death is not a sad event. Lives should be celebrated! What better way to celebrate than laughing with friends in a great environment. This is NOT your typical funeral home. A+

Such a kind group of truly wonderful people. You guys just made everything go so much easier than we had anticipated.

The staff at City of Oaks did EVERYTHING right. From that initial telephone call we made to get all if our questions answered to the time when Joe brought Dad's urn out to the house. Every step went exactly as the said it would. Dad died on a Friday and we had the urn on Monday. My sister and I never once felt pressured by the staff



I just want to say that we knew the cost from the internet website (very good by the way) and the cost never changed. These guys simply do it right.



I would recommend them to anyone in need of professional, affordable and honest services. We felt like a friend was helping us through this, not a business. I guess that's why we felt so good about them. Again, highly recommended

It has been a pretty difficult year for our family. I just wanted to take a minute and leave a review about this funeral home. These are good people at City of Oaks Funeral Home. They have helped our family now 3 times in the past 8 months. Each time they have treated us with kindness, shown absolute professionalism and delivered on every commitment they made. I particularly want to say thank you to John for being so patient with us when he came and picked up Mom from the Hospice House. Thanks for waiting until we had time to get the whole family there. You guys (and girls) might not realize how much your help is appreciated for doing what you do – I just had to share that we are truly thankful.

The staff went over and above when they provided services for my Father. Bringing doughnuts to the house was nice. Returning the urn in less than 2 days was wonderful. I was mostly impressed with the professionalism, the kindness and genuine sincerity I felt from the funeral director we worked with. The absolute most notable act of kindness was when he left our family a Sky Lantern so my kids could draw pictures and write notes to Grandpa. After my Father’s memorial service we released the Sky Lantern and it just made things seem so right. We chose City of Oaks Funeral Home because it was recommended to us – I will continue to praise their work.

My husband and I recently lost our son to cancer and we were faced with the daunting task of finding a funeral home. For the past 3 months, all David said was that wanted a simple cremation when he died; we felt obligated to honor his wishes.



Being new to the area, we asked Hospice for a few recommendations. I cannot express my appreciation to the staff at Hospice for everything they did for our family, including the recommendation of a funeral home.



After a few phone calls we decided to use City of Oaks Cremation Funeral Home because they seemed to capable of making the worst day of our lives manageable. We didn’t feel rushed into making a decision, we felt the cost was reasonable, the staff sounded so kind and spoke in a normal (not creepy) tone and never once did they came across as overzealous.



I would recommend this funeral home to any family in need.

We just needed the basics for my brother when he passed. Simple cremation and return the ashes in a cardboard or plastic box - that's all he wanted. We called around and we quickly realized the cost for this service was outrageous. We explained over and over again that we didn't need or want all the extras and I just felt like no one listened to us. My wife told me she found City of Oaks Cremation online and the website clearly showed the cost for exactly what we wanted. We paid hundreds of dollars less then what the other funeral homes told us it would be and the service was perfect. My brother died on Sunday morning and we had the $15 Oak urn on Tuesday afternoon... and the Death Certificates
