Our family of five (toddler included) stayed for a week at this establishment and we were very pleased. The rooms were clean, the staff made little characters out of towels and put them around the room for the kids, the pools were great, and the environment was safe. There was free shuttle to all parks, and to Downtown Disney. The cafe had hot food for every meal, and choices galore. Granted, it was not five-star food, but it served it's purpose and we were pleased to have it so readily available. There is a shop full of great souvenirs and practical items too, on the grounds, and there is a park for the kids, as well as a laundry room. The lobby was spacious, and the customer service fantastic.
I stayed at the Riverside resort. We had a fantastic trip. The hotel room was average size, more on the smaller end. They had fun pools for the kids to play at. They have a cafeteria style dining hall. Everything was very convenient being in the disney bubble as I call it. There was a bus stop where busses were constantly coming to pick passengers up and take you to which ever park you wish to go. There is a lot of walking involved at this resort. Your room is in one location, the main house with food is in another, the pool is in another and the bus stop is in another location. So you have to walk a fair amount of distance everywhere you want to go.
It's a nice resort, landscaping is beautiful. It doesnt have a Disney feel, so if you like that than its for you. (But we like to feel like we are at a Disney resort with the decor & service) It has multiply bus stops and pools since its a very large resort. Some of the rooms are a bit of a walk from the main lobby & food court. The table service restaurant was ok and their wait staff was so-so. It wasn't cool of the waitress to re-explain to us how to leave her a tip if we paid with our magic band, this was after we clearly said we knew about it already. The chef was friendly when he spoke to me about my food allergies.
