River Trail Apartments

I would not recommend this place. The apartment itself wasn't bad. Did have a few maintenance issues at first, but they were promptly dealt with. My problem arose when billing time came around. They didn't explain ANY of the charges that were "extra". When we moved out they mailed us an additional $350 worth of things that we had already payed a part of, and the rest they didn't have any explanation as to why they were charging us. I emailed them to ask and never got a response. It's been almost 3 months and I just now received something from a collection agency about it.

I lived in River Trail for 2 years and wish that I could recommend this property. I enjoyed my apartment and the facilities offered at the complex.



However, issues with billing & fees arose that would prevent me from encouraging any one to choose this as your new home. This was my experience:



<> Over $250 in charges were added to my account after I completed a walk-through inspection and signed move-out paperwork with a staff member. Months have passed and I am still working



<> We were informed of a pet fee (~$400) when we looked into the place. When we signed our lease they required this as well as a $15/month payment for "pet rent." No staff mentioned this until our move-in day though we had detailed conversation about fees & rent.



<> Discounts you receive when first signing a lease (military, one month free, etc.) are not offered at renewal. You can also expect your rent to increase.
