Abigail's Jewel Box

Abigail's is by far the best business ,period, in the town of Putnam maybe even in New England. Z, Jeff, and their staff are extremely kind,courteous, as well as being very professional in their appraisals. My wife had passed away this past February and I had some of her jewlery for them to look at as well as some flatware. The pieces consisted of all sorts of chained items which I had just threw into some plastic bags. It was a mess. They were extremely considerate and actually helped separate all the pieces while still taking care of other patrons. When all was said and done, Jeff and Z totaled the good pieces I had and made me a generous offer which I could not refuse. Then their staff placed into individual plastic bags all of the leftover pieces. They didn't have to do that, but, that is how they are. Generous,kind, and thoughtful of others. I was there a total of three hours and I was offered both food and drink. They are simply the best.

Best store in all of Putnam for Jewelry! Everyone should go there looking for pieces, or to sell pieces. They offer the best prices, and the best services.

I love antique jewelry and went shopping for an engagement ring. Loved everything in the store right away. Just what I had been looking for for months!! The owner is interesting- I can see how someone may take his humor or quirkiness as being rude. I have not found too many places that have estate jewelry like this place does, except Michael's has a few random pieces. These were all in really good condition with a large range in prices. With a modest budget, there were MANY pieces for us to choose from, and it was a hard choice.
