Best bakery south of the river. It's your traditional small town bakery shop and everything is super fresh and delicious.

I am an out of state bride planning my wedding in Minnesota. I arranged several weeks ahead of time to have a cake tasting with the owner of Edelweiss, Mark. My fiance and I had just a few days to pack in as much wedding planning as possible during our brief trip to MN. We made sure to inform Mark in regards to the sensitivity of our time. My mother and I both called twice the week before to confirm that our Wed, 9a.m. meeting with Mark was set in stone and we also discussed that the cake options we would like to taste would be provided.



So Wed. morning at 9am, my fiance, mother and I showed up at Edelweiss for our cake tasting. The young girl behind the counter had a blank expression appear across her face, when we told her we were here for our cake tasting with Mark. She informed us that Mark was not here and she wasn't sure when he would be in!!! I explained that we had called 3 times in total to set up this time with him and that we were here for a extremely limited amount of time and rescheduling would be close to impossible. We in turn bent over backwards to meet with him later that day by rescheduling 2 meetings wedding vendors and agreed to come back at 3p.m. the same day!



When we came back a different young girl was working. Once again we received the same blank expression from her as we had from the other girl that morning, when we told her that we were here for our 3p.m. cake tasting with Mark!!! He had ditched our appt. yet again! We were all very upset with Edelweiss Bakery's lack of respect for our time, Mark's lack of communication with his employees and blatant disregard for maintaining any degree of professionalism. The young girl got Mark on the telephone, the first thing he said to me was, "Some people have lives you know" I told him that we would be going elsewhere and that his lack of common courtesy and professionalism was astounding. He was very pompous and kept making excuses! What a wedding nightmare, i would not recommend getting your cake or any important order from someone who puts himself first and his future brides/ grooms dead last. What a jerk!
