Brothers Trattaoria Inc

My Husband and I have been going to Brother's Trattoria in Poughquag for several years and we always enjoyed our experience. We have recommended this restaurant to many of our friends and family members.. The food is good and the waitresses are always very friendly and polite. However, last Sunday May 31st we decided to go there with our two nieces. I like their Chicken ala Brother's so I ordered it. It was early in the afternoon, so there were no waitresses on duty. When one of the brothers either Shay or Gazmend (not sure which brother it was) delivered it to our table the pasta came in a side dish covered in red sauce unlike the past, where the chicken was severed over the pasta with the same sauce. When I questioned why the pasta was served on the side the owner who served us became very excited and loud saying several times "I'm not a mind reader" and "I cannot read your mind" I was so embarrassed by his unnecessary outburst. I tried to explain to him that I ordered that same dish in the past and the pasta was mixed in the plate with the chicken. Again the owner became very loud and said "I'm not a mind reader" At that point he did offer to change it but we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. Over the years we have been good loyal customers and that is no way for me or anyone else to be treated especially by one of the owner brothers. Needless to say, we will never go back to Brother's Trattoria again.

I think I've seen racism at it's finest. I Was asked to wait 25 mins standing (which I did) when Caucasian customers were given the choice to stand or wait by the bar. A Caucasian couple was offered a table even though they walked in 15 mins after us. W/o a reservation. None of these options were given to myself. Maybe it was a busy night... Or it's standard practice for Hispanic and Black customers to wait.

Great food with excellent takeout service. We will be a regular customers from now on. Nice people behind the counter and bar.

I would suggest you order your pizza any where but here. The two brothers that run the place have no customer service, they have consistently made my pizza wrong and they don't seem to care. They will also just add toppings like zucchini to your grilled chicken pizza because he thinks it would taste better. I would not spend my money there if it were the only place left in America that sold pizza. Brothers in poughquag sucks and so do the 2 idiots that run it!!!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants you will ever eat in. The owners are wonderful people and the staff is great. The food is superb. Why there in a small town I don’t know but they could make it big in the BIG City. Also there catering is fantastic I have used it many times, there is something for everyone and all will enjoy it.

My wife and I appreciate simple, good food and are familiar with top restaurants in several countries. The italian food served at Brothers' Trattoria in Poughquag is perfectly balanced for taste. They carefully use spices to bring out the flavor - whether pasta, chicken or veal - without having the spices overcome the taste of the food. They deserve to be known, they are an excellent local restaurant that you will enjoy if you try it.

I am sorry but the food is over price for the portions the give out ant is not even the good

If you want 5 star Italian dining, look no further than Brothers Trattoria in Beekman. Atmosphere is casual, but upscale restaurant side. If your not really into sitting down in the fancy restaurant side, they have less casual sitting area in the Take Out room. Beverages are provided by Coca-Cola, and are available in cans and bottles in the Take Out side, and fountain drinks and pitchers in the dining room side. Wait staff is very welcoming and ready to help you on anything you need.

For the past few years, Brothers has been a staple for Beacon. Fresh salads, great pasta dishes, and a lovely dining room, warm and cozy. We love the gnochhi with broccoli!
