Words cannot do justice to the amazing experiences I have had at AlexSandra’s Vintage Emporium. I have handed out her business cards, and written down her information for friends and strangers alike, so often I have lost count. My love for vintage clothing started years ago when I heard about her through a family member in Oregon. I went into her brick and mortar store and was admittedly overwhelmed! AlexSandra boasts the largest collection of vintage hats in the Portland area and I had simply never seen that many hats before! That day I bought my first vintage dress and a pair of bedroom slippers. I wore the dress to my high school graduation where I performed in front of thousands of people. Fast forward a few years and now she is helping me with my wedding gown. Simply put, AlexSandra does it all! She has an amazing selection of vintage items including, but not limited to, dresses, coats, hats, shoes, and jewelry. She carries a wide range of sizes and is happy to measure customers who are unfamiliar with vintage sizing. Along with her shop she also has two shops on Etsy, UnionMadeBride and, of course, AlexSandras. She accurately describes all of her items and often can give you the history of the particular item or its relevance to fashion history. I trust buying from her online just as much as I do in-person. AlexSandra is also an incredibly talented seamstress who is tailoring my grandmothers 1959 wedding dress to fit me. She has shared so many ideas on how to not only alter the dress to fit my full-figure but also on how to add personal touches to the gown. I have not found another person who has made the vintage buying experience as wonderful as she. I happily travel about 200 miles to visit her shop and highly recommend working with her. She is incredibly knowledgable and funny to boot! While everyone is different, I have never had an interaction with AlexSandra that left me anything but excited! If you are considering working with AlexSandra or visiting either her emporium or Etsy shops, let this review of working with her for the past four years sway you that it is absolutely going to be worth it!
