When I moved into my new condo in 2013, one of the first projects was to get blinds due to the amount of windows, and from talking to other residents in the building, the recommendation was to go with window coverings that would open from the top as well as from the bottom; in addition, I didn't want all those annoying cords on the floor which could cause a tripping hazard. Here came Budget Blinds and Richard to the rescue with these Hunter Douglas window coverings and OK, I give the honest truth, they are more expensive than some would pay for blinds but these blinds are worth the price and where Richard was very helpful is that he put the lesser expensive blinds in the bedrooms (where you don't really have an issue with the cords laying on the floor) so I saved money there. Richard was extremely patient and was not pushy and took the time to show me various styles of blinds and which styles would work in the living area vs. my office vs. the bedrooms. There were so many choices, Richard came out to me at least three times and even let me come out to his warehouse to look. With all the time he gave to me, it would have been ridiculous to go with anyone else, right? Budget Blinds and Richard really did provide the best product-with light producing blinds in the living area, yet light reducing blinds in the office to blackout blinds in the bedrooms, Richard and Budget Blinds gives you quality, not just with the products but with the service.
I cannot tell you how professional, nice, patient and helpful Richard was. I cannot take time off work for these kinds of things, so Richard was nice enough to come on a Saturday to show me what was available (I, of course had to look at lots of options and he was very patient with me-actually seemed like he enjoyed hauling samples in and out of the house). He then measured all the windows on which I wanted to have blinds installed, gave me the estimate-I told him to go ahead with the order. He said it was no problem to install them on a Saturday (what a blessing these pepole are). The blinds were ready before the estimated time-they called to schedule the installation and came out, removed all the old pleated shades and were willing to take them with them. Richard installed all of the blinds himself. He was very meticulous-cleaned up after himself like a pro-there was NO MESS anywhere. The blinds have made a HUGE difference. I am an avid backyard bird watcher, so one of the reasons I chose blinds is so I could see the birds without them seeing me-before, I couldn't do that. These people are professional, know their stuff and are truly customer service-oriented folks, which is hard to find in this day and age. I told Richard that I had not smiled as much since my husband passed away. This was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone who wanted any kind of window coverings.
After an initial mixup in meeting time, we got together and worked through the many choices for window coverings for large view windows, sliding doors, bedrooms and various treatments. We had read that the one we wanted to talk to was Michelle and so we sought her out but realized it was a family business with her parents. We had used Budget Blinds 12 years ago in our current home and liked them very much. Michelle came in and LISTENED to what we wanted and then made suggestions based on her knowledge and experience. She led us to exactly what we wanted which was a bit different from what we thought we wanted. She was charming, humorous attentive and professional. We have ordered the blinds and they will be installed after the first of the year. We are confident the installation and look will be just what we wanted and ordered. Good company and good person to work with. Can't wait to see the finished look.
