De Angelo's Catering is fine if one isn't too picky and is rather casual. The food was good, but the execution of the party was lacking. Some concerns were as follows: 1) Before my party had begun, the beautiful tables had huge water stains all over them where the waiters had sloppily filled the water classes. (Learning how to fill glasses without pouring it all over the tables would seem to be very basic. If one can't pour, pick the glass up and fill it away from the table.) One guest said that one of the servers actually overfilled her glass twice. 2) The servers need to have a clean classy way that they present themselves on the day of the event -- especially when it is a formal event. They need to fit into the surroundings. 3) The food table was decorated with cheap old floral tablecloths which worked against the color and decor of the room. I can't believe that they thought the table cloths were correct for a formal event or that they went with the color scheme. Furthermore, it was noted by someone that the tablecloths did not go all the way to the ground -- which was another eyesore. 4) The final concern of mine is truly upsetting because we could have been fined by the room rental. The head server cut the cake horribly. At her feet where she stood was cake smashed into the carpet in such a way that we had to get down on our knees after our party and try to clean it up by hand. My word! The floor was carpetted with clean brand new carpet. Who does this??? Did the cake cutter think that it was okay to just throw bits of cake onto the floor, stepping on it? Bottom line? If you're having an event outside and don't care about the details, that's fine. Otherwise, look for someone else.
What a wonderful wedding Wendell and Terry Kam provided for us at their facility. The grounds were beautiful, the reception food was impeccable, and the service was more than we could have ever dreamed of. I am the mother of the bride, and I couldn't have expected anything more than what the Kam's gave us. We are so grateful for the personal attention to every detail that made this event a complete success. If you want a outdoor venue for a wedding, or party of any kind I recommend that you check out Wendell and Terry Kam. The grounds are perfect for wedding photos! The affair could be formal or casual...Terry and her staff are more than capable of providing excellent and creative touches that would enhance your event. Wendell will amaze you with his culinary expertise. The wedding reception dinner was excellent. Tender and tasty teriyaki chicken and spicy Thai pasta. As we entered the reception area we were met with a spread of yummy chocolate ready to dip fruit of all kinds and these wonderful mini cream puffs. There was ample room on the patio area for the bar and DJ station, cake table and the roomy dance floor. Dinner seating was on the grass that had been well manicured. The rehersal dinner there was also excellent. We had steak and chicken fajitas with an array of side dishes and condiments. Wow, that was so very good! Both wedding and reception and the rehersal dinner were perfect. Thank you Wendell and Terry!
The food that Premiere Catering served at our wedding was delicious. We served family style and they did a really great job making sure there was plenty of food on all the tables. Michael was good to work with and fairly responsive, although it would sometimes take him a couple of days to respond to emails. What impressed me most about this caterer, though, was their responsiveness to our concerns after they made a fairly large mistake with the food we ordered. To err is human, of course, and no caterer will be perfect 100% of the time, although I have no doubt that this type of mistake is a rarity for these gentlemen. That’s why I really appreciated it when Premiere Catering acknowledged the error and made sure to make it right with us. I’d recommend them based solely upon the depth of character that I feel this gesture indicates.
