Kells is your typical Irish pub…in a good way. The staff is friendly, it’s clean, and you do feel a bit Irish when you’re in there. One nice thing about Kells was that they didn’t plaster the entire place with Guinness paraphernalia and shout, “OK NOW WE’RE AN IRISH PUB!” The décor was cool and fun to look at. They’ve got a big huge stone fireplace to welcome you when you walk in, a good number of tables and cozy private booths, and also a large bar to sit at. Our waiter told us that they have live music 7 days a week, including an open jam session on Sundays. Pretty cool. See photos of kells here http://www.thebeerfather.com
Awesome BAR and Restaurant. Recently we were in the area visiting friends. We live on the SW side of town. Found the Concordia Ale house on my Mobile Phone and decided to check it out. There were four of us (2 couples). we had drinks and seriously the best burgers in years. Servers were super friendly and service was great. We actually ended up hanging out for a while. The highlight was actually playing a real pinball machine with my buddy. Prices were reasonable and food was great. Fantastic beer selection. We will definitely be back!
Had a great time here for the '08 Civil War game. We had a very good 'burger and patty melt. French fries were the best we've had in a while. The waitresses were attentive without being overbearing and efficiently took care of customers. Prices for food and drink were reasonable. TV's are everywhere so it would be hard to find a bad seat. The patrons made for a good Civil War crowd. Plenty of cheering, no jeering. However, there is a fly in the ointment. Smoking is still allowed. We plan to go there again
