The gym has everything for my work out needs, I have no complaints. And trainers are available to help you with your work out goals. I have a trainer, Katie she has been working with me for a little more than a year and I've had a great experience and have made great progress in my work out goals. If you have the time you should check out the gym!

This is pretty basic gym, nothing flashy or fancy. It's a nice alternative to the bronson/borgress workout facilities, which although probably prettier on the inside, are much more pricey. This is really nice option for someone who wants a gym membership that doesn't break the bank. Gym also includes locker room, showers, suana and tanning. They had a 30 day free trial for the gym which I thought was pretty generous for people to try

They have a "women's gym" which is a smaller area with weights, ellipticals, etc for only women to work out in.

I've mainly attended the group fitness classes. They have a nice variety of times and classes. I had never heard of BodyPump before and have really enjoyed that!

I don't have kids so I've never used the childcare so can't comment on that.

So take home lesson: this is a no frills gym that is cost effective for the average person!

I've always had a great time at this gym. The staff has always been pretty cool and there when I need them. I haven't had a problem with my rates going up or anything and all the machines I want to use are usually open. Five stars.

Overall

As I mentioned in my other gym review these types of places often take a beating when it comes to reviews.

I've been working out at this gym since it opened. I even picked out my locker from the architectural plans. I'm a relic here.

Gyms are membership driven and this place is no exception. My hat is off to the New Year's resolution crowd that shows up every January and is gone a few weeks later. Thanks. You keep my dues down.

A diverse crowd works out here.

This is a weightlifter's gym.

A large number of the local competitive body builders and an IFBB pro work out here. Some meat-heads also workout here but they give us something to laugh at. At least they don't scream.

There are Hammer Strength machines - my personal favorite. Two sets of crossover cables, tons (literally) of free weights and the most extensive array of leg machines in the area. You can also find a variety of machines to isolate specific muscles or change up the routine.

This is an aerobic gym.

There are a variety of aerobic classes - body sculpting, step, Zumba, yoga. I see anything from students to moms (they have daycare) who discipline themselves to stay in shape.

There is a large cardio floor with treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, and other assorted methods of torture. A number of flat screens also hang at the front of that area.

This is anyone's gym.

From young professionals to lettuce pickers this gym doesn't discriminate because the folks who come here are here to sweat. With few exceptions the members are courteous and respectful of one another. They re-rack their weights and wipe their machines.

Other stuff: There is a 24 hour access available. There's also a specific women's fitness area with machines and other stuff I'm not allowed to see. You can use the daily lockers or rent one yearly. Shower and toilet areas are acceptable though not immaculate.

I recommend waiting for or inquiring about the specials. I've seen a 2 years for $200 deal in the past.

This gym is awesome! I can bring my kids and drop them off at their daycare, they have a sauna, and showers. I've been a member here for years and have no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Overall

I've been coming here every time I come back into town for the past 8 years. It is a fantastic gym with friendly and helpful service.

This is one of the largest gyms that I've come across, with a full range of cardio equipment, consisting of treadmills, stair-steppers and exercise bicycles. Even during peak hours, I have managed to always find a machine. If all the machines are full, there is a 30-minute limit that is posted on the machines to remind the users. You have several televisions with various channels (CNN, ESPN) that overhang the cardio equipment up front. Some of the treadmills are also very state-of-the art, comes ready with an iPod dock.

There are also plenty of your standard machines of all types; the maintenance of the machines are in great order and if a machine isn't working, the down time is usually not very long. You also have near the front, there are various different abdominal machines, including a ball-launcher and an abdominal slide machine, a very impressive new device that came to the Fitness Center in March.

Towards the back of the machines, there are multiple machines that allow you to isolate muscles and work on specific muscles. For the persistent weightlifter, there are plenty enough machines available for you to vary your workouts. Not a fan of machines? There are also plenty of free weights available with full-length mirrors while you work out. Be forewarned though, you can't act like a barbarian and drop your weights like a primeval ape-man.

The music selection skews towards the latest pop music over the last 24 months, with the occasional song that pops up from the 2000s. There are two TVs, which plays either the music videos that come with the songs, or if they don't have the music videos, they will have a rotating slideshow of health tips. I believe that you can request what songs you'd like them to play as well. Be forewarned that some of the music that is played isn't the most motivating to a hockey player...but I really don't pay attention much to it or care enough that it really interferes with my workout.

There are also on-site, refrigerated protein drinks available for purchase; however I've never bought them. In the back, there is a selection of cardio training classes that are also available, though I haven't participated in them.

There are male and female locker rooms. Locker rooms are clean, with on-site shower facilities and lockers. I believe members can get the larger lockers as well. There is also a TV with ESPN on it as well.

Overall, I think that if you're looking to get a workout in, this is a great place to do it. Here for a week? You can get a weekly membership pass for $30. If you just want to get a quick workout, it is $10.
