I came to the theater with my family to enjoy a d-box movie and it turned out to b a nightmare! The Kevin Morgan which is the head manager is a unprofessional racist! I am a black woman steelworker and feel as my family was just discriminated against! BLACK FAMILIES PLEASE USE THE MERRILLVILLE THEATER!

Great place for family and couples. Been going here for the last 7 years. Never had any theft nor heard of it. Folks in the neighborhood surrounding it are your middle income apartment folk who go to the movies too. Wonderful staff, clean theatre, and above average prices on concessions when compared to AMC. Seating is comfy and they stand behind their policy on cell phone usage during a movie (if it is important enough to pull out phone during a movie, you shouldn't be at the movies or just walk 20 steps and take it outside the screen room). I ENJOY THIS THEATER SO MUCH AND AM GLAD ITS IN MY TOWN. THEY HAVE FREE FALL MOVIE MATINEES FOR FAMILIES TO COME OUT WITH THEIR KIDS AND ENJOY A FREE MOVIE. ALSO THE IMAX EXPERIENCE IS ALL ITS CRACKED UP TO BE, THE SURROUND SOUND AND HUGE SCREEN LEAVES YOU FEELING LIKE YOU WERE PERSONALLY IN THE MOVIE. NOT TO MENTION THEY ICEE AND/OR POPCORN REFILLS ARE 0.25. A MUST GO TO!

As for the guy saying that stuff gets stolen out of vehicles idk if thats was a one time thing just for him but i have been their several times and have not herd this ever happening although their is a not so ideal neighborhood behind it

I go the movies there all the time is a great place. The large screen is a must see!

alot of bad people live rite behind there and they have been seen stealing stuff out of peoples cars while you sit in the movies for 2 hrs and nothings done about it ... I shouldnt have to worry bout that stuff especially when they have cameras all over that parking lot I just want everybody to know this because this has happened to alot of people and nothings ever done bout it...Rayzor

lock up your car that place has a huge amount of theft even thought they have cameras on the poles outside I think the people watching them are in on the crimes! right behind the theatre is apartments which has section 8 housing from chicago and gary they have become a major pain in the but in portage .I have talked to numbers of people and they have said the same thing ,I even talked to a friend and his wife took his kids to see a movie there and she came out to find her car not only broke into but someone hit it with another vehicle and u would think the security cameras had to have caught the plate number but they would not let her and her husband review it nor did the police do anything about it 500 deductable was paid out of pocket for less than 1200$ dam I myself had my Gps and other items stolen from my truck there while watching a movie with my son! they know when the movies start and finish and that gives them plenty of time to scout out the situation... get a job and stop making exuces for everything lazy s.o.b.'s u know who u are
