NOT the place if you want your child to start a professional career. Some of the instructers do not even have college degrees. This is a good place if you want your child to have fun and have something to do after school, but not to be taken seriously. My daughter was enrolled last year, and her progress was very minimal. She did have fun, but as a mother, I want the best for her because she does want to dance for a career.

After reading the reviews, I find it funny that someone writes a bad review after 8 months, and all of a sudden 3 positive reviews on posted on the same day all in a row? Looks like the Company is trying to do some damage control.

LOVE SFDC!!! My daughter is in her 4th year here! She has learned so much and has a good time doing it!!! The instructors are wonderful! check out their Bios on the site you will see how trained and expierienced they are. I know there are other choices in town but for us this is it! I do want my daughter to learn and if she decides dance is in her future she will recieve the best training here, but I also want her to enjoy it in the mean time, otherwise what's the point! Check it out for yourself you won't be sorry!

There is honestly nothing to say but great things about SFDC. It's grown so much since it's opened and I think the reasons are obvious! First off, their teachers are amazing! I don't understand the negative review on here about them because many of them are professionally trained with college degrees. SFDC searched for the BEST instructors for their students. I highly encourage you to read their teacher's bio's and you will see what I mean! We switched studios a couple years ago and when asked if my daughter had experience I said yes and told them where she use to go. They just okay and signed her up. No bad talking other studios, I thought that was very professional! Great owners, great teachers, great training!

My husband and I being retired professional ballet dancers were shocked to discover this gem of a studio in a town like Port St. Lucie. We actually took ballet class and the teacher, Camilo, was such an amazing teacher that even we who have been dancing forever learned new things about our technique. He is a seasoned professional with an extensive performing, certification, and teaching career to his credit. We were so impressed that we immediately brought our children, who have been taught privately by us in the art of ballet for years, in to take his class. They loved it and have been hooked ever since. THey have learned so much and are both already being cast in performances all over the area because of their technique. We have met many of the students and families and have been impressed by the supportive attitudes rather than the cut-throat diva atmospheres that we have experienced in our long years of dancing all over the world. This studio and their teachers are bar none the best we've ever encountered in this area and we would recommend no others in the area. We have tried every studio from south Stuart to Vero Beach and can, with full confidence tell you that this studio has the best teachers, can take your children the furthest, best atmosphere, and turns out students that go into the dance profession with the best skills than any other studio in these 3 counties. All of the teachers and programs, from tap to ballet to contemporaray etc use cutting edge choreography and technique and will best prepare the student who wants to be a professional, yet is enjoyable and nurturing enough for the student who just wants to have fun! Try it...you won't be disappointed!

This is the place to train for the serious dancer. My daughter has been there for 4 years. Due to the highly qualified and experienced instructors, the level of dance technique taught at SFDC is superior to any other studio in the area. You will find a very positive and friendly atmosphere with a clean and spacious waiting area.

My grand daughter dances at this studio and just loves it! We go to their performances every year, and are always impressed with their level of professionalism. I love that they are family friendly, and that her siblings and I can stay and watch her while she dances.

SFDC is the only dance studio in the area that I would send my child to. We started when they did in 2008 and have taken tap, jazz and ballet with them. After being "retired" for a year we're heading back this year for jazz classes with Mr. Brian. We are so excited! This is a professional dance studio with professional instructors that bring experience and technique from around the globe. All of the instructors are either certified, have degrees, extensive years of training or all three! Being one of the few dance studios in the area that is non-competitive allows them to focus on what is important: technique and growth. Everyone involved with the education process, from the instructors to Studio Manager, Mrs. Spector, pride themselves in ensuring that each student receives the best instruction for the their age and ability level.

Sure the lobby can be a little busy and chaotic at times, but that's just the nature of the beast. It's a dance studio. Classes are changing, parents are picking up kids, kids are getting shoes on for class. What are you going to do? You roll with it.



That being said, if you're looking for a professional dance studio where your child will learn proper form and technique from some of the countries best instructors than we think South Florida Dance Company is the best!!!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews, but I know everyone has their own experience and preferences when it comes to a dance studio. My daughter has been with South Florida Dance Studio since the beginning and I have been very pleased with the training she has received at the studio. The instructors care about the students and their progress in a way I have not frequently seen at other studios. The non-competitive dance environment means that my daughter learns to love the art of dance without being focused on the newest "tricks." That is something that is truly important to me.



We recently relocated to the Orlando area and we have not been able to find a studio that perfectly balances training and performance the way SFDC does. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone interested.

I have lived in Port St. Lucie for many years and I have been trying to find a studio that had the type of training this studio offers. I used to have to go down to Stuart to send my daughters because there wasn't a studio that had this type of instruction before. If you are looking for top of the line instruction, I suggest you try SFDC. They know what they are doing. We are very pleased to have them here!

This dance company is very professional but is still fun and enjoyable. The instructors are phenomenal and know what they are doing. This is an AMAZING place to train and learn!
