Domtar is the third-largest producer of uncoated free sheet paper in North America. It is also a leading manufacturer of business papers, commercial printing and publication papers and technical and specialty papers. Domtar also produces lumber and other wood products and holds a 50 percent investment interest in Norampac, the largest Canadian producer of containerboard. The company s business is organized into four segments: paper, paper merchants, wood and packaging. Domtar produces business, commercial printing and publication papers, as well as specialty papers that serve the food, medical, decorator, packaging and security markets. It accounts for more than half of the company s sales. Domtar s 11 pulp and paper mills in North America have an annual production capacity of more than 2 million tons. The merchants operating under Domtar s distribution group purchase, warehouse, sell and distribute products made by Domtar and other manufacturers from nearly 30 locations throughout the United States and Canada. The corporate headquarters is in Port Huron, Mich.
