This is Ramey's Marketplace previously known as Sunflower. I was there on 12/24/15 and what I saw was an older market but very clean and orderly. There was an actual butcher and the shelves were being stacked and checked by management and associates alike. Everyone was do helpful as it was my first time there. Prices were fair and the store was well set up. I am disabled so it is impossible for me to do big box stores. They had every thing I needed at a fair and affordable price. I bought groceries and meat for $127. Living on a meager fixed income, I was thrilled! Without even asking, an associate saw me struggling to unload my shopping cart and she immediately put my items on the conveyor belt to be checked out and then she bagged all my groceries & put them in my basket. While I was paying my bill, the cashier gave me a paper to fill out for store bonuses. The associate who was taking care of my groceries took my keys, loaded my groceries in my car, and then went in with completed forms the cashier gave me along with my receipt, so I could start accumulating my bonus points. Everyone was so friendly, customers were hugging associates, I was amazed at the joy I felt. I do not get out much but I don't think Ramey's Poplarville Store realized how independent I felt, even though I required some help. There was even a greeter who was a retired former employer giving out candy canes. I now have the freedom to pick out my own groceries and I cannot think of any other place that I have been that made me feel independent and fair prices to boot! Thank You Ramey's!
