Pacific Mobile Repair

While on a road trip through Mendocino this past summer with my wife and two young kids, our car started leaking coolant and overheating near Bowling Ball Beach, aka "the middle of nowhere". Stranded on the roadside with dusk beginning to fall, we were extremely fortunate that Ed(?)/ Pacific Mobile Repair happened by in his truck and offered assistance. He looked under the hood and quickly found the problem - a hose that had become disconnected from the coolant overflow container. He removed the car battery for access, reconnected the hose and filled the radiator with water, and our car was miraculously running normally again.

Relieved, I asked him how much we owed him for his work. His response? "Nothing." He just requested a review on Yellow Pages, which I agreed to do and should have done long ago, but am fulfilling that promise now. (I did give him a monetary tip as well, of course, for his time.) Besides a properly running car, my family and I regained some faith in humanity that day. Thanks, Ed, hope Pacific Mobile Repair thrives, as it should.

Ed is AMAZING!!! I made a 6 hr round trip to have Ed service my vehicle and it was beyond worth it. In a couple of hours, Ed replaced my front brake pads and rotor as well as my power steering high-pressure hose in my 2008 KIA Sorento. Not only is Ed knowledgeable but a great teacher! Unlike other mechanic experiences, Ed let me watch his whole process and answered all the questions I had for him. Not only did I get a great deal but also a crash course in how to change my brakes! Compared to the quote I got from the dealership for all this work, I saved over $700! I will definitely be bringing all my service to Ed in the future!

I had a dream to get a short bus and convert it into a skoolie. I was connected to ED of Pacific Mobile Repair and he not only found the perfect bus of my dreams, but he did the repairs and taught me a lot about the 6.9 diesel engine. He was very professional and knowledgeable. For anyone in Northern California this is a mechanic you can trust!
