The owner is a very nice guy and does know what he is talking about. He will even order you parts that he doesn't have in the shop just for you.

Best bike shop ever! Bought a great Fuji Crosstown 3.0 bike here a few years ago. Came back later to buy a computer and he came out to the street to install it for me. Also tuned up my kids bikes. I wanted to try the WORS race in Sheboygan and he gave me mountain bike to race with at no charge. He will go the extra mile to make his customers happy. Any bikes I buy will definitely be from him! Way to go!

Whaaat, previous commentator? The guy there was great. I told him I needed a new wheel and he told me he could bend it back into shape and did, no charge, thusly saving me money at his expense. Other friends told me of friendly experiences there too which is why I went there in the first place. A+

My husband was going to trade in 2 bikes for a new one in fall of 2009, the owner gave him a deal almost too good to be true. The company "lost" the leftover bike my husband was going to get so the bike shop owner said he was able to get a new 2010 upgraded model for the same price. Bike shop owner never returned my husbands calls nor picked up the phone when he called to check on the new bike. My husband went to a different dealership who called the bike makers in front of him to see if the bikes really still aren't available, and my husband found out they were available. He went back to the Back Door Bike Shop to confront owner, who would not call bike dealership in front of my husband, said he is done dealing with my husband and gave him back his trade-ins and told him to leave. So after about 9 months of being jerked around by this guy, we got nowhere. If a deal sounds to good to be true with Back Door, it probably is...and don't wait around for him to call you back or even answer the phone...it's easier to just stop in.
