American Auto Repair

My family and I have been taking our vehicles to American Auto for at least 5 years. The service is fantastic, quality of the work is very good, and they have earned my trust completely. Thank you.

Very bad experience=

I set an appointment with the owner, John, to bring in my car one morning for some repairs. I arrived at 11 am and was I told it was most likely too late for them to get to my car that day. Surprised, I indicated I was not aware there was a cutoff time, for he had not told me this when we set the appointment. I nevertheless decided to try this again so I set a new appointment for the following Thursday. John then asked me to drop off the car the night before, or first thing in the morning, because he prefers to complete what he described as a small type of repair first thing in the morning. For the next appointment, with the help of another family member, I dropped the car off the night before and left the key in the drop box as John had requested. The day of the repair, I showed up in the afternoon to pick up my car and found it had not been started. When I asked John for an explanation he indicated he was not aware my Honda, one of only two cars sitting in front of his shop, was the Honda he had on his appointment book for repair that morning. I was dismayed, for he said this as he had my Honda key (with a large Honda emblem on it) right in front of him. I ended up leaving with a whole series of excuses and ended up loosing two half days of work with no repairs completed. Given this treatment I will never go back to this shop again.
