What Crawford's Kitchen lacks in size, it more that makes up for in quality and price. Its a cozy place to eat at in the winter and in the summer we like to ride our bikes and eat outside on the patio. The service (I think there are only 2 waitresses, at least that we've ever seen) is great and the food keeps us coming back. I usually get one of their fresh salads or wraps, but I found that the few times we've made it in for breakfast was worth it. They have custard filled french toast to die for!
Ironwood being a true smokehouse is an anomaly. A restaurant that delivers a great product by true professionals. Do you realize that 90% of the kitchen staff are either culinary students or graduates of schoolcraft college culinary? I must say that having been in the restaurant business, the quality of food that comes from a smokehouse kitchen, they must be doing something right.
I would have to disagree with the other post. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was very yummy! The service was fast, friendly and very honest about what was good on the menu. Also the draft beer was very well priced I would recommend going and giving it a shot. You also have to realize new restaurants take awhile to get going!
