My cat Mickey had been throwing up persistently for 3 straight days and having constant diarrhea. Later today her diarrhea turned into bloody stool. She was already noticeably dehydrated and lethargic. We took Mickey today to this hospital where I have brought my other pets before to visit Dr. Yohler but I found he had retired. Instead my cat received equal or even better treatment from Dr. Hughes. She treated my cat with care and made sure she had everything she needed to recover. I have brought Mickey before to a low cost veterinary clinic in concord called Alpine Veterinary Hospital. The cost of the visit and exams were actually less than the so called "" low cost"" clinic. This is definitely the place to bring your pet in an emergency situation. Thank you Dr. Hughes

Sun Valley Animal Hospital was wonderful to me and my cat. From the moment I walked in until I left, all my questions were answered by polite, kind and caring staff.\nDr. Hughes did an excellent job on my cat's surgery. She also called me to let me know exactly what she would be doing, beforehand. \nI was a nervous wreck, but the Dr Hughes and the staff there put me at ease knowing my kitty would be in good, competant hands.\nThank you so much for the excellent care!

My husband and I have used SV Animal Hospital for years and were aprehensive when we found that Dr. Yohler had retired. It was not going to be a 'nice' vet visit-we needed to have our 16 year old 'puppy' put down. Dr. Hughes was amazing! Not only did she flop down on the floor with our dog and do the exam right then and there, but she was kind and caring to us and our son. (Not to mentiion our precious pup!) \n\nI have nothing but admiration for Dr. Yohler, and I'm so very pleased that his replacement is as wonderful as he was!
Moral of the story is:
Never trust the Veterinarians, as they are simply interested in sucking out your money and not your pet's health.
This especially applies to the Staff at Sun Valley Regional Animal Hospital who were willing to endanger my dog's life by subjecting him to a very dangerous and complicated operation after grossly misdiagnosing him, just so that they could get paid. These people should lose their license.
Take your pets to Diablo Pet Hospital.
I brought my kitten here a few months ago and it was really scary for me she had gotten out of the house and got into a fight with the dog next door and she was hurt very badly. So I called Sun Valley Animal Hospital and they told me to come in right away and I did. They took her in right away and they end up keeping her over night and the next day she was so excited to see me all patched up and ready to come home.
