I love this place because you have the option of either buyng your own fish or eating at the restaurant. Great clam chowder. It impressed this displaced New Englander. The fish IS so fresh, its still flipping! Great casual family atmosphere or a nice first date place. Prices are reasonable and take advantage of the daily specials. Suprisingly, no fishy smell despite this being a place where you can buy fish. The catfish filets need a little tweaking and there is no malt vinegar on the tables. Outside of this, good food, decent prices and fresh fish!
Each time that I, or my wife and I, have gone to this restaurant over the past two years, the service has always been outstanding! Even at peak times, we've never had to wait for a table more than about five or six mintues. "Albert", who is no longer there, was great and today's experience (10/26/08) was equally good, with "KC", a middle-aged server who took care of my every need without complain or grimace! It's about time the Red Lobster (RL) had some competition. The Rockfish is so much better in so many ways. Better tasting food, Great menu, Very pleasant atmosphire (not a lot of crying kids) and a very little wait time. The price's may be a little bit more (not that much more) but well worth it. I hope when the Rockfish catches it doesn't change the way the RL did. The Rockfish is just what we need.
