First the good: Excellent tasting Chennai style food. Decent ambience for a HSB. Prompt and courteous service. Now the bad: For crying out loud, do they even realize that Plano IS in Texas where everything is oversized when it comes to food? We ordered Ghee Pongal for 7.50 and what we got was quantity that will fill a 5 year old, no more. Mysore Bonda at 3 for 5.99 is a bit pricey but not quite the ripoff Pongal was. Special meals at 11.99 was decent, and good portion, though I had to order an extra plate of rice to finish off all the side dishes. Again guys, do us a favor and increase the portion sizes. It is painful to see your servers apologize for the small portions. The crowd will stop when they leave your premises hungry. Coffee at 3 bucks was authentic south Indian and piping hot. Again a suggestion here... Some people may prefer to add more sugar. So would it hurt to send a packet or two of sugar along? The Ugly: $38 including tax and tips for 2 people sounds excessive. I must say there was nothing left in the plates when we were done.

From Business: Japon has the best of both worlds. Two favorites are served under one roof, steak and Japanese style cuisine. All the formal elegance of a Japanese style restaurant…
I enjoy going to this BJ's...The wait staff is always friendly and funny and quick to correct any mistakes that they may have made. I am also a big fan of their enlightened entrees menu; it definitely takes the guilt out of having a mini pizookie for dessert. Their Thai Chicken Mango Salad is delicious (though I did have some awkwardly large lettuce leaves-which by the way, were not your standard iceberg lettuce), and their fried artichokes were so good too! Their oreo pizookie is my favorite, ala mode of course (see! the salad was necessary!!)-I like the oreo flavor because it's not too sweet and makes a delicious cookies and cream dessert. As far as beers, I am totally loving their Nutty Brewnette. Not because they named it after me, but because it's a great dark beer that is not super heavy. My only complaint is the parking, but it's not that big of a deal; most of the spots are on the side or behind the building, so if you're there when everyone else is, you will end up walking a little further.
This is definitely the best Turkish/Mediterranean food in the metroplex. I lived in Turkey for two years and can't say enough good things about the food at Ephesus. It is very authentic. Add to that great service, a very inviting atmosphere, and a comprehensive menu and I've found a new favorite restaurant. Give this place a try because you will enjoy it. I would suggest ordering either lamb (Turkish specialty) or the beef kebab. The meat is seasoned perfectly and very tender. We shared the cold appetizer plate and enjoy all of the appetizers. Finish your meal with some Turkish hot tea and what a meal!
