ZH has the best vietnamese food I have ever had. the pros 1. We almost always get the fried spring rolls (filled with crab and veggies, they are so flavorful), vermicelli beef bowl with spring rolls (such a great balance of sweet, spicy, savory, and fresh (the lime ...moreand mint help with the freshness)), and chicken fried rice. Their rice is so subtle in flavor, but is incredibly good. Last time we went I had the clam fried rice, which isnt on their menu (you have to ask for it). I was warned, and it is very spicy, but it is so good and different than any other fried rice I have ever had. 2. I think the service is very good. We have been coming for so long that they know what we order every time. The service is sometimes a little slow, but they are very friendly. The love to recommend new dishes for you to try. 3. Their amuse bouche. The weird thing is that you dont consistenly get amuses. During the spring and summer, it is normally a very simple lettuce with thin carrot slices and a nice vinaigrette. The fall and winter amuse is usually a very spicy and flavorable soup, which is loaded with bean sprouts and tofu. I usually do not like the texture of tofu, but this soup is so hot that the tofu is this little silky cube of goodness. I love this soup! the cons 1. The space is huge and open, and is rarely crowded. Thats good, in that you can get right it. Its bad for atmosphere, though. If this was a small, intimate place, I would like it more. 2. They are closed on Tuesdays. Kinda weird. I have forgotten more than once and have driven from NW Frisco, which kinda sucks. My fault though. view less
This was our first time sampling Vietnamese food and looked through the YP app comparing menus and came upon Saigon Street and decided to give it a try. The staff was super friendly and took time to explain the specials and cooking methods and answered all our questions. T...morehe manager recommend the grilled white tuna in garlic sauce to my girlfriend who is pesctarian and it was FANTASTIC! I had the special appetizer of fried and marinated frog legs. I've had frog legs several times and I can say without a doubt, they were THE BEST I have ever had!! Very clean tasting and served with a lemon pepper marinade and diacon and lettuce was delightful. I also had the beef sate' for an entrée and it also was very good with a faint 5 spice hint to it. The chef came around and asked our opinions and he was delighted with our approval. I personally believe a chef truly cares when he makes the rounds with the patrons. Overall, we both had a great first time experience and will definitely return and recommend the place!!view less
