I had my first tattoo done by Bill Goldbach at Inka Dinka Doo. After four sittings I have an amazing piece of art on my upper right arm that I'm proud to be able to call my own. All the guys were nice, friendly, chatty and made for a wonderful vibe at the shop. All these things are really important to me as a woman getting a first tattoo, especially with nobody accompanying me to hold my hand. Bill made sure to explain the whole process, including chances of dizziness etc. He made sure to go slow at first and to keep up with telling me what he was doing and why. He was happy to answer my curious 'what' and 'why' questions. He made sure that I was clear about my aftercare and sent me home with all the knowledge I'd need to heal well and that I knew that he was available between sittings if I had any questions or concerns. I had no issues with healing and had zero issues or complications. I felt at home, welcome and unrushed at the shop and really had an incredible first tattoo experience. I already know what I want next and will definitely get it done at IDD by Bill!
When I was looking to get a sleeve done I stopped in a few places before Kyklops Tattoo. But after talking with Erin and seeing her work I knew I had found where and who I wanted to do my ink. She knew exactly what I wanted and was able to draw it up to suit me. After driving from my home an hour for my appointments I was so happy with the sleeve I decided to get another sleeve done. Erin was also very easy to schedule with as it took almost 6 months from start to finish for me to get both sleeves done. I would also like to comment on Pete Larkin who also tattoos at Kyklops. While I didnt get any work done by Pete I witnessed his professionial work during my appointments with Erin. Even with his nervous and difficult clients he was nothing but reasuring and professionial. Kyklops is by far the cleanest tattoo shop I have been to. I do plan on getting more ink done and I will definetly be going back to Kyklops. If you want awesome work dont bother going anywhere else.
Hey, my name is Tori i went to Kyklops as a walk in last week and got my belly button pierced. (Seeing as how every other shops piercer was on vacation) My piercers name was Paul he was a big tattooed man i was scared he was gonna hurt me. But he didnt. I was very scared(&& im DEATHLY afraid of needles-i cry when i get shots lol). But he made jokes and made me very comfortable. My friends came with me, 1 had had her bellybutton pierced already and said that the place she went to didnt have nice piercing jewelry. They had alot of different choices they had a ring, and different barbells, (metal, blue stoned, pink stoned,white/clear stoned). Those were the only ones i seen but there may have been more. They also told me to soak it in seasalt water && some of my friends said their piercers didnt tell them that (so that was a plus) I recorded it & put the link up later. TODAYSDATE:8/25/2009
