Great Place, Map Wrong

I absolutely loved my visit to see Janice. It's a shame I had such a hard time finding her because this site shows her in the wrong spot. She told me she has had a hard time getting Yellowpages to correct it, so I decided to help out with this, because you should not miss going to her!

Janice has two entrances, one from Murray, and one from the back via a parking lot. She's actually between Douglas and Hobart, with parking off of Douglas behind the shop. Be careful not to park in the first line of cars, which is for tenants. Go to the public lot a few feet further. After parking, go to what looks like you will be entering an apartment building. There's an overhang with a few steps, and then you see her sign for the back entrance.

I had a facial, manicure, and pedicure. I just loved the whole experience, and she didn't cut me like some places do.

I had a facial, manicure, and pedicure. They were fabulous! Unfortunately, Citysearch's map incorrectly shows Janice's location. She is between Douglas and Hobart. Ask for directions when you make your appointment. It was well worth my search!

Wonderful wax

I only go to Janice for my waxing. I have had many bikini waxes and she is by far the best! She is so fast and applies a cream that soothes. I hardly ever have bumps afterward.

I agree!

I'm in Colorado and I received a gift certificate from my sister to go to Tip to Toe when I'm in town visiting her. About a month or so ago I had a relaxing day complete with massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Janice did everything! I've never been to a salon where the same person did so much. Tip to the Wise: Her sign can be easy to miss. She's above a shoe cobbler, so look for that sign. - Dinah

Best Kept Secret!

I recently visited Janice (the owner/specialist) in Squirrell Hill. I was surprised at how reasonable her prices are. Thank goodness I made an apt. and did not just come as a walk-in! I had light therapy done on my face, and I'll definately be back to try other services! She was great! (And so is my face.) - Hannah

great sugar scrub!

I recently had a rose and champagne scented scrub - heavenly smell! It was followed by a buttercream massage. I felt so silky - it was a truly decadent experience!

Best Wax I Ever Had

I'm a crybaby when it comes to pain, but I was talked into having a wax job at Tip toToe. All my friends need to go here from now on! Janice was fast and the wax was just right to get the job done, without burning me. (I've heard horror stories about some other places.) I'm so relieved to find a place for this service. As money allows, I'll find out about her other services, too!

High-Quality Massages

I will only go to Janice for massages. She is extremely knowledgeable, intuitive, and versed in many different approaches to massage. I have a medical condition that makes me very achy and sensitive on a varying basis, and she not only remembers what areas of my body I've had trouble with in the past, but continually adjusts her approach to meet the needs and particularities of how I'm feeling on any given day.\r She has healing hands! \r \r This is a one-woman operation with individualized attention. Janice is as qualified as they come (not only massage, but facials, waxing, nails etc.). It isn't your typical 'schwanky,' uppity salon environment - and if that's what you are looking for you may be disappointed or turned off - but Tip to Toe is first rate in comfort, cleanliness, accommodation and professionalism.

I've never had a better massage... I've had massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, and waxing at Jan's shop. She does more, and all her services are extremely reasonable on pricing. I've enjoyed all of it - well maybe not the waxing, but she's very good at that, too. Her place is small and cozy; it'll set you at ease. Try her, and get some gift certificates, too, even for those who think they don't want to try spa services. One of my friends was shocked to actually enjoy her pedicure, and it was right before her wedding, so she was a bundle of nerves, and picky!
